The simple things remain tried and true.
Stone age people knew the way
To keep these things of great value.
Trust, hope, courage, honesty, and love
Will outlast the entire human race.
Qualities to be placed above
More mundane things that we face.
With our complex, modern life
Simple things should not be lost in the mist
Without simple things, like a husband or wife,
Could a complex world even exist?
Lack of simple things gives us nothing
Adding simple things give us everything.
