GWTW is truly a unique movie. "Why?" you might ask.

Because GWTW is a Civil War movie that never shows any battle scenes.

It only shows the effects of the war on the people and the land.

Some examples:

2.Trains of wounded soldiers arriving as Ashley arrives for his Christmas leave
