Here are some more facts about GWTW .
GWTW is truly a unique movie. "Why?" you might ask. Because GWTW is a Civil War movie that never shows any battle scenes. It only shows the effects of the war on the people and the land. Some examples:
1.crowds wait anxiously for the Gettysburg casualty lists
2.Trains of wounded soldiers arriving as Ashley arrives for his Christmas leave
3.Ashley delivers his discouraged end-of-war speech to Scarlett

6.The many wounded men at the depot as Scarlett tries to find Dr. Meade to deliver Melanie's baby
