First off, my reasoning in creating this website was not with the intention of trying to justify Thelema nor anything that I believe. My journey and desire to accomplish the Great Work will continue with or without the approval of others. The reason that I have created this page is because it is my "Duty."
While this page has been active for close to 2 years, it was not until recent that I felt that this particular page of my website was needed.
Once you have spent time reviewing this site, the choice is up to you whether you seek a deeper aspect of Thelema or if you decide that you have no desire to learn more of it.

Liber Al vel Legis
What brought me to this point? Why not just let things stand as they are? It is simple. For a short span of time, I was a member of the Yahoo group "Open Sesame."
It is a group of Wiccans (most of them have no knowledge what-so-ever of magick or Wicca. To them, a person can believe anything that they want and incorporate it with saying "Merry Meet" and from that day forward, they are Wiccan. The community is owned and run by the author Eileen Holland. While at no time will I say anything negative towards Ms. Holland's books (as I have not read them, nor will I ever), I will say that based upon her comments, her knowledge of Wicca and Witchcraft is very minimal.
As a follower of Magick, I was banned from the room and censored for my beliefs. I was accused of trying to seduce others into the Dark Side of Magick. Her rules of the community were that no talk of Crowley, Christianity or the Left Hand Path would be allowed. I honored that request and at no time did I mention these topics.
But, over time, it appeared that my beliefs did not match hers so I was banned. As well, her comments were that Aleister Crowley was seduced by the Dark Side. I felt like I was reading a "Star Wars" novel instead of postings of Magick. Below, I am enclosing her response to the comunity in reference to anyone that was not Wiccan. If you have any experience in Magick, you be the judge of he comments. And of course, if there is any repercussions from this by Eileen Holland, I have saved the posting that she sent to the community. It is her posting and her community. So in this event I am only posting what she herself posted.
From Eileen Holland -
Ryan and I have, over the years, gained some expertise in detecting and dealing with these people, because they can't seem to stay away from our e-lists (or the chat room, when that was running).
I DETECTION
1] CODE WORDS
This is only a partial list, one to which I am sure Ryan can add. These are things which bristle the hair on the back of one's neck, because they are beloved by people on dark paths. I am NOT saying that anyone who
mentions one of these things practices black magick, I am just saying it is good to keep a wary eye on anyone using these words and phrases, because they can function as back doors into very dark places that you
would never knowingly enter:
Enochian
aeon
chaos
creative disorder
Azrael
Seth or Set
love is the law
do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law
777
666
Thelema
Golden Dawn
OTO
Tiamat
necromancy
Lucifer
white brotherhood
They also sprinkle their conversations heavily with references to magick, the occult, and metaphysics, but you will hear little from them about the Goddess.
2] TOPICS
These are some discussion topics which are near and dear to their dark little hearts, because they try to use them as gateways to darkness:
Diversity, Acceptance, Open-mindedness, etc.
They particularly love this one. They try to get people to agree that diversity and open-mindedness are good things, and that we should accept people rather than judging them, yadda yadda yadda.... then comes the
clincher. You are as close-minded as a Christian if you cannot accept Satanists/black magickians/whatever as fellow Pagans/adepts/Witches/whatever.
Love
They make of love a very slippery slope, one that will land an unsuspecting Witch in their lairs. I don't mean normal discussion of any aspect of love, I mean a ridiculous one that focuses on metaphysics... and
leads ultimately to Crowley's crap about love excusing black magick.
The Neutrality of Magick
This is one of their favorites, long convoluted explanations about how magick is not black/dark or white/light, it is simply neutral, a tool.
Well, OK, but their aim here is to get people to agree with this, as a way of denigrating white magick, and opening the way for conversion to the dark side. It seems to be their view that if they can get a Witch to cast one hex or curse, they have 'won' her or him.
Balance
This is another favorite, often expressed in terms such as:
-If it weren't for the shadows/darkness, you wouldn't appreciate the light
-If you can't harm/hex/kill, you can't heal/help/cure
They really believe this nonsese.
2] MODUS OPERANDI
These are some of their recruiting methods.
Helpfulness, Friendship, Sympathy, Attention, Affection
They will offer healing, readings, classes, friendship, spells, or whatever else it takes to lure an unsuspecting person into thinking they have found a new friend, or even (gag) their soulmate. They aim for
instant intimacy and some form of dependancy on them that will make it hard for the person to break the tie once they realize who they're actually dealing with.
The lost, lonely, bereft, lovelorn and ill are particular targets of theirs. Whether in real life or cyberspace, they will offer letters, flowers, a sympathetic ear, gifts, and whatever else it takes to cement the relationship. In some circumstances, sex or love, even bogus marriage proposals, may be offered. This showering of affaction and gifts is the courtship phase that leads to recruitment.
On E-lists
This is the pattern:
-A new person subscribes, or a hitherto silent member suddenly begins posting. This often happens when the Moderators seem otherwise occupied.
-The person starts posting things which are provocative, argumentative, or against list rules.
-Dark side topics, or 'on the edge' topics are introduced.
-Contention begins, and the list's smooth functioning is disrupted.
-The dark side person looks to see who supports or agrees with them, and initiates private correspondence with anyone who does.
-The troublemakers are banned or otherwise silenced, and the list resumes its normal functioning.
-There is also usually the Melodramatic Farewell Post from the person who has been thrown out or asked to leave, unless they have already been banned or moderated, and the post is prevented from reaching the list. (Perhaps I should collect these. They are unintentionally hilarious.)
-If they haven't been banned, the person will usually remain a member after their Farewell Post, to see who misses them.
-Via private correspondence, they begin trying to convince selected list members to join them or spy for them.
-They wait a while, then rejoin the list with a new name, and start everything all over again.
These are horrible people. I wish I could say that I was being paranoid or ridiculous about this, but we have seen it happen here time and again. I am sure we have some practitioners of negative magick lurking on the list, even as I write this.
CONCLUSION
The dark side must be a lonely place indeed, for them to go to these length just to find people to share their paths with them. There must also be far more people on right-hand paths than left-hand ones. Think about it: do any of you have the time or the inclination to subscribe to satanic or ceremonial magician e-lists just to try to recruit the people on them to Wicca, white magick, or whatever? The very thought is absurd. Life is whatever we make of it, but it's certainly too short and too precious to waste it that way.
E-lists are public places, and objectionable people will sneak onto them no matter what you do. We must all be vigilant in watching out for them, and kick them out whenever they reveal themselves.
Blessed Be,
Eileen Holland
What you have just read are the exact words from Eileen Holland. In the various posts in the community, she was not even aware of who Gerald Gardner was. Yet she claims to be Wiccan. I find it funny that a Wiccan author does not even know who invented the Wiccan Religion. It does make sense though. Each person in the community is so cow-towed by her and she is enjoying her self perceived and self appointed place as a divinity.
Her words speak for her.
This is why I started this part of my web-site. It is shameful that in her ignorance of magick or the various paths that she is leading her sheep astray. This only adds to the ignorance of what Wicca and Magick are.
