Tallahassee FLORIDIAN & JOURNAL, 9 May 1857.
IRON FOR THE PENSACOLA AND GEORGIA R.R.

Two cargoes of 500 and 450 tons of iron for the Pensacola and Georgia Railroad are expected daily at St.Marks. This will lay some eleven miles of track. Very soon, therefore, will our citizens be invited to a first ride over the first mile of this great work that is speedily to connect us with the rest of the world. Who, in view of such a prospect, does not feel like indulging in an exultant "Hurrah?"
