Tallahassee WEEKLY FLORIDIAN, 14 June
1888.
Captain John M.Cook, Chief Engineer of the
Carrabelle and Tallahassee Railroad, spent
last Sunday in the city. On Monday he
returned to his corps near Crawfordville, and
will complete the survey of the line to
Tallahassee in a few days. We predict that
this road will be the first one completed to
Tallahassee.

Messrs.Sutton, Robinson & Ferrell, the new
mail contractors between Tallahassee and
Carrabelle, were in the city yesterday and
purchased outfits for commencing the service
under their contract next Monday.

The Thomasville TIMES-ENTERPRISE says
W.R.MacIntyre, W.H.Mitchell and John
H.Davidson have formed a copartnership and
taken the contract for building about ten
miles of the Carrabelle and Tallahassee
railroad. Their work lies on the lower end of
the line near Carrabelle. They have the
contract for the grading, track-laying and
bridging for the entire ten miles, and will
commence work at once. They are now
organizing their corps of laborers and will
go to Carrabelle Monday for the purpose of
starting the work.
