Tallahassee WEEKLY FLORIDIAN, 7 July
1887.
THE B & F ENGINEERS.
The Engineer corps of the Birmingham and
Florida Railroad have arrived and pitched
their tents on the west side of the river
where the railroad will cross.
Capt.Hooper, the Chief Engineer, informs us
that he has made a thorough survey of the
line between Cuthbert and this point, and
will remain here some days.
The following is a list of the corps:
J.deB.Hooper, Chief Engineer; H.J.Wright,
C.B.Stalnaker, C.D.Brown, C.E.Saunders,
Howard Martin, Charles Sale, A.C.Mulligan,
and five colored men.
The corps is well equipped, and their camp
presents a neat, military headquarters
appearance. Bainbridge DEMOCRAT, 30 June
1887.
