I remember how your face looked
Beaming from the light of the candle
that sat before you
You watched the flickering flame
as I watched the reflection in your eyes
I feel a need to touch you, to feel the
softness of your flesh

Later I watch you eat
If only I could be the fork....
You giggle as you compliment
my eyes. or was it a compliment?
I try to make sense of what you are
saying but the words are empty when compared
to the resplenent visage before me

I am afraid
Should I allow myself to
get close to you?
Should I walk away before
I hurt myself?
I want to kiss you.
So I do.
