Although this company was formed in 1861 with men from Habersham County, a number of recruits from Cobb County were added during early 1862

Benjamin Franklin Church - Enlisted 3/10/1863, Captured 6/1/1864 at Cold Harbor and imprisoned at Elmira NY until exchanged 10/29/1864, Final roll dated January 1865 lists him as being AWOL, No further military record but genealogical records show that he lived out his life in Habersham County, dying 3/27/1904, Buried at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Habersham County, Born there 3/5/1827, Had previously enlisted in Co A of the 2nd Ga Infantry 4/20/1861 and was discharged for disability 1/8/1862, A record exists for him in the 2nd Ga indicating he was captured & paroled at Augusta, Ga 5/8/1865

Charles E Clyde - Enlisted 6/11/1861, Age 19, Shown as 4th Sgt on June 1862 roll, WIA 9/17/1862 at Sharpsburg, Md, MWIA and captured at Gettysburg 7/2/1863, Died 7/20/1863 at Federal II Corps hospital four miles southeast of Gettysburg from effects of amputation of right leg, Body disinterred in 1872 and reburied at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Va., Son of Thomas M & Harriett Clyde
