"You don't see a lot of movies like this. This film is about valor and passion and honor, as opposed to the machismo thing you see in a lot of films these days. This story is very complex. It has twists and turns, and many layers of emotion."
                                    --Leonardo DiCaprio
"The more you do, the more you dare. With Braveheart I went out on some limbs and it worked out all right, and in this I was ready to go out on some longer limbs."
                                    -- Randall Wallace, Director
"In my career rarely do I have a really, really good experience throughout where I think the people are really fine actors, where it’s fun to work with them and nice to be around them, and this is all of that. It’s a rare experience and one that you remember for a long time."                             -- John Malkovich

....It's especially fun to hear the Musketeers speaking noble lines like, ''If we fail in this attempt -- and we probably will -- I would be honored to die beside you.''....

....DiCaprio, who knows all too well how to get in touch with his bratty side, isn't content to play Louis as the expected royal fop. He gives the King's impish evil a welcome texture and depth, showing how Louis' heinousness is born out of the belief that it's his birthright to simply do whatever he wants. He wields the crown as an excuse for self-gratification, and DiCaprio mines Louis' despicable corruption with a hissable flair that drives the movie....
