Author's notes: Hi! This is Sara…. Elizabeth came to me with this story, begging me to help her revise it. So I did… LoL.. call it BOREDNESS! We wrote this after seeing the Unnatural and SHIPPY power!

Scully closes her eyes and plays back the events of the past six years in her mind.
It seemed to be her every dream: to get away from her parent's mode of thinking by not becoming a medical doctor. Dana Scully joined the FBI hoping to make a difference. She was assigned to Special Agent Fox Mulder and the X-Files. She was told, although in not so many words, to debunk his work. Of course, when she showed up at the office, he had already known why she was there. That didn't seem to matter once she won his trust.
It took everything she could muster not to fall in love with her partner. But after a while she declared to herself that she couldn't fight it any longer. She was in love. But who could blame her? He was tall, mysterious and handsome by anyone's standards.
After she was abducted they had become somewhat closer. She figured that the reason was that he felt somehow responsible. It didn't help when she had the chip removed from her neck and was diagnosed with cancer. He had done everything in his power to find the cure for her. After it went into remission, she started to believe in him more than she had before.
What Scully didn't realize, however, was how much Mulder depended and cared for her until she told him that she was being transferred to Salt Lake City. They had almost expressed their love for each other that day. But a bee that carried that alien virus had stung her. Mulder had saved her from a fate that she didn't even want to think about.
It wasn't until about four weeks ago that her life had taken a wonderful turn. Mulder was working on a more personal case, and after spending all day working, he left her a message to meet him at a local baseball field. When she had arrived, she was surprised to find him hitting baseballs into an empty field. A child-like glow seemed to cover his face.
"So uh… I get this message marked urgent on my answering service from one Fox Mantle telling me to come down to the park for a very special very early or very late birthday present…. And Mulder, I don't see any nicely wrapped presents lying around. What gives?"
"You've never hit a baseball, have you Scully?" * Thwack *
"No I guess I have found more necessary things to do with my time than slap a piece of horsehide with a stick." * Thwack *
"Get over here, Scully." She stood in front of him taking the bat in his hands. He put his arms around her from behind, putting his hands on the bat next to hers. Her heart quickened at the feel of him so close. He then put his head next to hers instructing her on how to hold the bat. She looked up at him, noticing how close their faces were. She turned abruptly, not wanting him to see the truth in her eyes. When he put his hand on her hip to show her how to hit the ball, she couldn't help but look into his eyes. She was surprised to find to find him looking back into hers. Something unspeakable passed between them, just like it had that night not long ago. He leaned over and touched his lips to her cheek. He leaned back to check her expression. He seemed delighted to find it was a smile.
He leaned his head back down towards hers only this time leaning towards her lips. Something magical sparked between them when their lips touched. It was like they were the only two people left on earth. Scully couldn't help but fall into the kiss. How many times had she imagined this, dreamt of this, and now it was happening? She could never express the joy she felt at the moment.
The kiss ended and their lips parted. She let out a long wistful breath. Mulder kept his arms around her, holding her even tighter than before. He leaned his cheek on the top of her head and she put her head to his shoulder relishing the closeness.
He pushed her back just enough to spin her around so she looked directly at him and he could see into those wonderful, clear blue eyes. A thousand emotions ran between the two agents. It all came together when Mulder said, "Scully, I love you. Do you believe in love at first sight? I do… now. You mean everything to me. Without you I don't think I could live. Dana… what I'm trying to say is, Will you marry me?"
With tears threatening to cascade down her alabaster cheeks, she said "Yes." And with that one simple word, she communicated all that needed to be said.
He kissed her again, loving the taste of the 'Tofutti Rice Dreamsicle' she had had earlier that morning.
"Scully…. Stay here a second… please?" Scully nodded, to weak to come up with any kind of verbal response.
He got into his car and pulled out a small navy blue jewelry box. Then he ran to Scully. "I've had this for over two months… I just could never find the right time…" He opened the box then and revealed a small golden band with a medium sized diamond in the center.
"Mulder… I believe in love at first sight too…I'm just so happy everything fell into place like this. "
Mulder smiled at this and kisses her. When they pull apart, Mulder takes the ring out of the box and slips it on Scully's slender finger. Mulder steps back, picks up the newly-engaged FBI agent and starts twirling around with her, enjoying the sound of her giggles.

. FOUR WEEKS LATER
Scully looks over to see her husband, Fox Mulder, in the bed laying next to her. She still couldn't believe how fast it had all happened. They had both decided not to wait a long time to get married. But still, two weeks was a long time to wait for a couple in love.
Scully smiles as she realizes that Mulder is waking up. He opens his eyes and smiles as he pulls her into his arms.
"I love you." She said.
Mulder smiles and says, "I love you too." He kisses her and the rest of the world falls away.
