I was born in Neustadt-Waldnabe, Germany. That's in Bavaria. I came to this country in November 1964. No, I am not a "German-American. I am an American. Nothing against Germany but I am blessed that God let me come to the greatest country in the world. I went back to Germany in September 1978 with the Army on reforger "78 with the 1st BDE and the 4th Infantry Division out of Fort Carson, Colorado. I thought that I missed it but I found out only too soon that I was homesick for the United States instead.
Since my 30's I have become very conservative in may thinking, although my college professors tried and almost succeded in making me a liberal-socialist. Thank God I came to my senses...
My main objective in life is to put God first always. I have found that when you do that, he will take care of everything else. I try my very best to use the Bible as a reference for everyday living. I know that I have short comings but God knows that I am human and I do try hard. Romans 1:3 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;. I continually strive for perfection. In the past 13 years I have stopped smoking, drinking and cursing. I'm not there yet and I may never be but I'm further than I used to be.
I am a very sentimental person. I miss the old days. I miss the days of old that I have never experienced, like the early part of the 20th century. Don't get me wrong. This is a great age that we live in as far as technology, which I love dearly but I long for the days when men strived to be gentlemen and women wanted to be ladies. I love a real lady. Lady, is a special title for a special person. I don't use the term lightly. There is nothing like a truly feminine woman. With no tattoos or body piercings other than one in each ear for ear rings. I adore all ladies. You don't have to be a certain shape, size or color to be a lady, it's an attitude.
One special lady in my life.
Miriam was my high school sweetheart. I have never had another woman. I am glad that God let me find her or (she found me). I can't see any other woman putting up with me especially back in my younger days. She is a Lady.
Another Lady in my life was my mother. She pretty much raised me by herself. I must admit sometimes I gave her pure hell. But I matured at an early age and helped her with house chores as much as I could without being asked. I thank God that she didn't get killed during World War II in which she almost did many times. She used to help the Jewish people. Hiding them and feeding them. Although it could have meant her life. That was one close shave for both of us. The second close shave is when she was pregnant with me some of her family wanted her to have an abortion. Wow! two close shaves, and there were a few more afterwards. God must have something for me to save her and I all those times.
Mom lives in Tellico Plains, Tennessee with my sister Corrina.
