In recent years incidences of reported and prosecuted stalking cases have been on the rise. A stalking survivor myself, it is my goal to educate as many as I can as to the insidious nature of the crime and of the stalker him/herself. If you have been a victim of stalking, such as discussed in this site or otherwise, please send your stories to me. My story, as terrifying an ordeal as it has been, is just one example; it cannot be estimated how many victims of stalking either underestimate the situation they are in or, out of fear, neglect to press charges. This site aims at giving the stalking survivor the tools they need to help themselves before the prosecution can even begin. I have been very fortunate to have had constant support from family and friends, as well as the District Attorney's office/Victim Advocacy Program. This site contains information to include how to obtain and fill out a domestic violence/civil restraining order (though not to be construed as a substitute for legal advice), as well as a list of suggestions, etc. aimed to provide the victim with honest, easily accessible information. Questions? Please feel free to e-mail me should you have any questions not covered on this site. I regularly receive e-mail from people all over who have identified themselves as victims of the crime of stalking, but of all the mail I have received, the heaviest volume comes from those who fear they are currently being stalked and do not know where to turn. If you are a victim of stalking, you are not alone.
