George and Maria are household #677 (along with children David and Wilburn) and somehow the rest of their kids are listed on household #680. Ransome (his son) is #681. We know that Maria is Cutis' daughter and that Ransom, William, George, Mary Ann, and Sarah are her children.

No proof, but we believe that George's father was Thomas Jones and mother was Jane Caldwell. Jane maybe the sister of Curtis. This would mean that George and Maria were cousins. Maria's sister, Ursula, married William Jones, her sister Meron (Mariam) married John Jones (but not until 1860 and this was not John's first wife). We strongly believe that George, William and John are brothers.
Maria's father, Curtis, was born 1770 in SC and is the son of Curtis and Sarah (Fordren). Many believe Sarah's last name is Fondren but no one has proof of this. We d not know Maria's mother's surname, only her first name, Sarah, and that she was born in 1770 in SC. Sarah and Curtis are listed on the 1790 census of Spartanburg District SC and the 1800 and 1810 census of Rutherford County, NC. The 1820, 1830, 1840, & 1850 Census of Gwinnett. They both died in Paulding County, Georgia (where their daughter, Elizabeth Elsberry) lived.

Court in Chambers on this 4 day of July 1853 personally appeared before me
James M. Davidson one of the Justices of the Inferior Court of same county.
Mary Hobbs a resident of said county and state aforesaid. Aged Ninety four
years who being first duly sworn according to law, doth on her oath make the
following declaration. In order to obtain the benefit of the provision made by the act of Congress passed Jul 1, 1848 or such other acts in force as may be applicable to her oath. As will entitle her to the benefit of her husband’s pension from the time of his death. That she is the widow of Robert Hobbs of the county of Greene and state aforesaid. Who was a private in the Revolution and received a pension in conformity with the laws of the United States of the 7th of Jun 1832 so will now fully appear by the organized ???????????? Robert Hobbs in Spartanburg District South Carolina in a formed by a Magistrate by the name of Tait. ????? She knows of no person now living by who she can prove the same, nor has she any Marriage Certificate or record in her possession which would establish the same. And she further declares that her husband Robert Hobbs aforesaid died on the 7th June 1845, and that she had remained a widow ever since that period, as will more fully appear by refamance to the ferouf hereson to ????? State of Georgia County of Greene Mary her X mark Hobbs
I James M. Davidson one of the Justices of the Inferior Court of said County the
sworn being a ????? of record I hereby certify that Mary Hobbs is the widow of
the aforesaid Robert Hobbs, and I have the fullest confidence in the truth of her declaration as regarded of her age and the date of her marriage. She has children living in this state who was born in 1780. She has lived with her husband for upwards of sixty years in the county and is refutable and of good credit and from personal knowledge I have reasons to believe her declarations fully true and entitled to the highest credit. Giving under my hand at chambers the day and year same James M. Davidson State of Georgia County of Greene I Vincent Sanford clerk of the Inferior Court of the County of Greene and State of Georgia certify that James M. Davidson aforesaid is a Justice of the Inferior.
Note: James M. Davidson is her grandson in law. The statement regarding
children in this state being born in 1780 is his mother in law Sarah Hobbs.

Carl and the man got into a fight and when that man pulled a knife, Carl grabbed his hand. The knife blade closed on that man's finger and cut it off.

Learn to ride a 2 wheeler at age 3, his sister just learned to ride a 2 wheeler and she was allowed to ride in the street. We lived on a street where there was no traffic and the children were able to play in the streets. We had no sidewalk for them to use when learning to ride a bike. Matthew decided he wanted to ride a 2 wheeler and when no one was around he got on the 12 inch bike and kept falling off until he was riding a 2 wheeler. We had to invent new rules for him so he could ride the bike, he got upset when he couldn't ride in the street. So we would allow it if we were out there and we could watch him.
He was 3 yrs old on a bike with training wheels. The boy Mike McMillin was jumping ramps he was a bit older than Matthew. Matthew thought that was neat, so he took off to jump the ramp. By the time we realized what was going on, we couldn't yell or he'd get hurt, he was already hitting the ramp. As he hit the top of the ramp, he fell off the bike.

Well water is quite a new experience we had to adjust to. No cable or local channels (antenna) on the roof. We had to buy a digital satellite TV to get any channels. Turns out after you buy the The house is a two story, with Living room, Dining Room, Kitchen, bathroom, office and mini-apartment (we call it the in-law) on the first floor. The 2nd floor has Master bedroom, two smaller bedrooms. We have taken pictures of the place, Mom also has, But since Mom and I both have the same affliction, it will be interesting to
