       NASA today announced, that by mid year 2000, the United States will be returning to the Moon after a 20 year absence. The Project Manager for the Lunar landing stated that the missions' primary objective was ecological in nature .The Project Manager was quoted as saying, "We are going back to the Moon to repair the damage caused by the previous rock collecting missions. We're going to clean up the garbage left behind by those missions too!"
      A NASA spokesperson also stated that during the mission, the Moons Light will be turned off for 6 hours during scheduled maintenance and repair. NASA said they hope that the turning off of the Moons Light is not an inconvenience and does not cause any undue anxiety.
