At the present time, Raccoons have a good population in Southeast Georgia. they are brown colored with black rings on their tails. They have a black mask around their eyes.Adults can weigh as much as 15 pounds. Raccoons will eat almost anything and will even raid garbage cans, but their favorite food is probably crayfish. They are nocturnal animals, feeding at night. hollow trees are a favorite place for a raccoons' den. They are fierce fighters and can defend themselves against predators.
