The North American River Otter
Scientific name (Lontra Canadensis )
The River Otter is found in lakes,ponds, creeks and rivers in South Georgia.They have long sleek bodies with webbed feet and are excellent swimmers. They are always found around water although they will travel across land going from one water source to another.Otters will not tolerate nasty or polluted waters.Their favorite food is fish, but they will also eat crayfish, frogs and insects. They are black with brown on their stomachs.
