What We Hold is Precious"

Verse 1

It seems such a simple thing
to sing one with one another
words as 'I love you' in a hymn
together as a sister and a brother.

 Verse 2
********

Yet are we really able to fully feel
the pure preciousness of this love
when at night by our beds we kneel
praying to Heavenly Father above.

Verse 3
********

As each day is begun or ended too
do we realize how precious it is to give
pure praise in prayer with the one who
created us all and gave us life to live.

 Verse 4
********

What we hold is precious do you see
it comes unsoiled adorned in love
given freely now for everyone to be
as we owe all we are Him from above.

Verse 5

Precious this thought came last night
smiling gently to say I love you so much
that my mortal heart was touched with light
even though I'm so little to Him I am so much.
