Tear Drops Of Joy and Sadness

C.J. Ingerson
10/22/98

Verse 1

"Wandering in this maze . . .

I often find upon my person
teardrops like the dew
of heaven descending
washing and cleansing me
from those things of this world.

Verse 2
********

When drenched this way
the exhilaration of
feeling the love
from a Father who
loves me and embraces me
almost daily for the smallest things.

Verse 3
********

It is an embrace so warm
that it could not be softer
nor firmer in anyway
and so I stumble
falling to my knees
in humble prayer for such love.

Verse 4
********

Now as the tears fall
freely flowing from eyes
which see and know
yet are blurred and red
I know, I know
that my redeemer lives.

Verse 5
********

Flushed with this knowledge
I run to friends and neighbors
only to be looked upon
with some concern and doubt
but they know that I love them
as my Father loves me.

Verse 6
********

So I tell them one by one
of how much they mean
and what is in store
if they but take the step
to kneel in prayer
and learn that they too are loved.

Verse 7
*******

But now the soft raindrops falling
are saying sadly that no one is taking the step..."
