This poem is shared with the permission of the family.
Mary Anne fell as a child/infant and resides in a special
care facility.

To the family: thank you for allowing
me such a special blessing today. I went
to visit Mary Anne. The gifts left were some
Indian corn and two small tiny pumpkins. The gift
received you'll see below. This was felt before I
even arrived, as I was driving down that I was going
to visit someone very special from the pre-mortal sphere.
The feeling was correct, it always is, and so I want
to thank you for giving me permission
to enter into hallowed feelings and special places.
Love your brother in the Gospel - Chuck

"I Sat With an Angel Today"

C.J. Ingerson
10/30/98

Verse 1
********

At first her hand
was cold to the touch
and she knew me not
from her mortal self
but from somewhere inside
there started a warmth
which glowed with light
from the Master's touch

Verse 2
********

for this special daughter
was exalted from before
and she was here just now
so we could learn to grow
and love from within
beyond this mortal sphere.

Verse 3
********

Then in sitting there
with meager presents
which I gave to her
I was prompted again
to touch just lightly the back
of her hand once more
and now warmth was felt

Verse 4
********

this even as she outwardly
noticed me not, but from inside
her mortal frame I felt she knew
beyond the veil of precious things
to share with me just now
like an accounting of who
I was and where I'd been.

Verse 5
********

So I was privileged today
to enter in hallowed ground
though others may have felt it not
for homes like this are seldom
if ever visited by strangers
and then if at all to enter
and only to leave for more important
things they but thought to do

Verse 6
********

but not today would this happen
for today she honored me
with her inner presence
the angel beyond a veil
unseen by almost all around
except by the Master's touch
to open ones spiritual eyes to see.
