Verse 1

Is it reserved to only a few
to labor and do thy work
or is it as the Prophets said
for all to do each and everyday?

Verse 2

Are we not all Brothers and Sisters
each with a responsibility to bare,
or are their some who are able
to tell us which can help or not?
|
Verse 3

Is it really true that anyone can claim
to be a leader for thee, anyone at all
yet then how can this be, what is the plan
didn't somehow, somewhere include a me?

Verse 4

This isn't meant to be difficult to know
but why are some dominating others so
do they have this right, I need to know
please Father what was the Eternal Plan?

Verse 5

My daughter and my son you need listen
to understand the Eternal Plan allowed
for all to chose to believe or not receive
to be led astray if so they choose indeed.
|
Verse 6

The Plan was for all to have moral agency
but for this there would be a horrible price
that others would have to pay as always
there are those who need to control, rule.
|
Verse 7

In the scriptures you find it plain and simple,
"...but when we undertake to cover our sins,
or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition,
or to exercise control or dominion
|
Verse 8

or compulsion upon the souls of the children
of men, in any degree of unrighteousness,
behold, the heaven withdraw themselves;
the Spirit of the Lord is grieved;
|
Verse 9

Amen to the priesthood
or the authority of that man.
Behold, ere he is aware,
he is left unto himself,
|
Verse 10

to kick against the pricks, to persecute
the saints, and to fight against God.
We have learned by sad experience
that it is the nature and disposition
|
Verse 11

of almost all men, as soon as they get
a little authority, as they suppose,
they will immediately begin to exercise
unrighteous dominion." D&C 121:37-39.

Verse 12

My daughters and sons the Lord is grieved
but this was part of the Eternal Plan
that you may be proved in the garden
by your faith and your works combined.

Verse 13

You need to understand that all not one
have the rights provided under the Plan
this is so the words of the Prophets
may all be fulfilled and no excuse be found.

Verse 14

It is hard to understand just now why
some make others suffer in so many ways
but remember the words, "If you but endure,
all that the Father has will someday be yours."

Verse 15

Now go tend to the garden, prune and weed
so you not be caught idle to the tempter
be anxiously engaged is all good works
not wondering of why or who or what.
