Where not the dormant season
of winter ends that lets the fun begin
when little children in awe comment
on the various flowers with a grin.

When the elderly can go outside
and not with gale be blown away;
no longer the to have to inside hide,
are now outdoors to walk and stay.

It is like the time of youth for us all
this the first day of Spring for us to see;
if we listen carefully we will hear the call
allowing another rebirth of our souls to be.

So welcome everyone to the first day
of Spring this year the last one we'll know,
in the 20th century to be held this day;
while all of nature its love to show.

Think of all the love to share and give
to those unable to get about this day;
let us visit them so they too can live
and really enjoy this happy Spring today.

Then in humble prayer to the one above
let us remember to thank him too;
for His giving us today to show such love
and allowing us to know the Gospel true.

So to all the friends and family I know
wishing you a first day of Spring this year;
