RIGHT ON: A year ago, there were rumors of a break up among the three of you. Was ther ever a point when you all came close to breaking up as a group?

NATINA: Yes. We had issues but we got back together and that's a great thing. Right now the band is firmly in place and we're all straight.

RO: How do rumors like that affect you all, both as band members and personally?

SHAMARI: It doesnt really affect us.

BRANDI: It doesnt. It's just rumors you hears everyday, thats all it is. It's up to you to either keep them going with believing them or to just let them go and not believe them.

SHAMARI: Sometimed rumors can ruin your life like with some people. But we dont really let it get to us like that.

RO:Are you really happy with the new album? Do you feel you accomplished what you set out to do on the new album, Blaque Out?

SHAMARI: Oh yes. We executive produced the album. We really acomplished alot with this album.

RO: Will the new album be much different than your debut?

NATINA: Well, its alot more mature than the first one. We get to talk about different issues this time that we weren't able to talk about on the first album. So that's a big difference right there. I will say the fan base that we are about to see will vary now. The last time around, the age group we were catering to only aloud us to talk about certain subjects. Now, this time around, we've advanced in what we're able to talk about. So now we can advanced in record sales as well.

RO: A question for all three of you. Which is your favorite song on the album and why?

SHAMARI: My favorite song? It changes everyday, to me. Today my favorite song is "Know Whats Up". Dallas Austin produced that one and it will be our second single.

BRANDI: I would have to say its our second single as well. Thats my favorite.

NATINA: Well, I would say it's "Temperature".[Laughs] Thats my favorite song. It's my favorite song because it makes me think about...love. That's it.[Laughs]

RO: How would you describe the group, musically? Are you a rap group, R&B, pop, or a teen pop band?

NATINA: "Ghetto pop."

SHAMARI:[Laughs] Nah, we're not serious about that. We're not ghetto pop.

BRANDI: I would have to say, I would consider us to be universal. I think we make records for everybody, not just for one brand of people. If you listen to our first CD, as well as our second, we have the combination of pop, R&B,and any other element you can think of. So we're a universal band. We're diverse.

RO: Bring It On went on to become a hit. How did you all get involved with that movie?

NATINA: Someone from the label recomended us and she told the people at the film company that she thought we could make good candidates for the movie. So they called our people to see if that was a good a choice and if we were with it and we made that happen. We just got it without auditioning.

RO: Did you really enjoy acting in that film?

BRANDI: Yeah, we loved it. We thought it was cool. We want to do more acting.

RO: Are there any more acting projects along the way for all three of you?

BRANDI: Yeah, there are more projects coming up.

RO: We ran a fashion spread on all three of you a year ago. Do any of you plan to do more modeling in the future as well?

SHAMARI: I'm not into modeling, actually.

NATINA: I like to model.

SHAMARI: I feel like thats what we do already. I mean, because of all the photo shoots that we have to do, we're kind of like models but iam not into modeling, me personally. Just Natina.

RO: But you do like clothes and shopping, right?

SHAMARI: Yeah, we love it.

NATINA: Yeah.

SHAMARI: I like horseback riding. I've only been once but I still like it.

RO: Are you friends with your fellow labelmates Destinys Child?

BRANDI: We are cool with Destiny's Child. They are like our girls now, fo real.

RO: Who are your fans? Describe the average Blaque fan?

SHAMARI: ON our first album, we were mainly catering to kids, the young adults, teenagers. This time around, we think that we are going to gain more fans and have an older fan base liking our music. We were teenagers back then, but with the except of Brandi, we're no longer teenagers but adults. Natina and I are twenty-one, so it's time to grow up.

NATINA: I would say that anybody who is just willing to listen to different music and accept all branches of music, they are our fans. You have some people who appear urban or whatever because of their outfits or whatever, and they still like people like Shania Twain, Micheal Jackson, you know what I mean? So I would have to say, whoever is into diverse music and is not afraid to take risks with music, those are our fans.
