WILLIAMS...
was born in the same neighborhood in Detroit
as Shamari on Oct. 5th, 1982, but the two
never met. This Libra is cool and down to earth
and very humble. Brandi, her two sisters, her
brother, and her Father all moved from Detroit
to Atlanta.
Brandi, was always surrounded by music while growing up. Her grandfather, Bobby Rogers, was a member of the legendary Motown group Smokey Robinson and The Miracles. Her father was a professional singer as well and her aunt is R&B songstress Cherelle, so you can say she is gifted.
Brandi always wanted to sing and entered many competitions in Atlanta. As a solo artist, she called herself, "Danielle Foushe" Why that? Well her middle name was Danielle and there was already a Brandy out, so she didn't want to confuse anyone.
At one talent show she met Shamari who was in the group Intrigue. They clicked and remained friends, keeping in touch with each other. But it wasn't till another talent show that Shamari asked her to join her and Natina to form a new group. Brandi joined and Blaque and they was tight ever since.
Brandi knows the value of friendship, "My friend started dating this guy I liked, and at first I was so mad. Then I figured out what was more important. Guys come and go, but I've gotta stick by my friends. Now he's gone, and I've still got my girl" says Brandi.
Brandi is the youngest member, Her vocals are as sweet and pure as a baby's breath. "I'm the calm, cool one in the group.", she says. "I've always loved music. I never said I wanted to be anything else. I never said I want to be a doctor, a lawyer. I was always wanted to be a singer."
She co-wrote Rainbow Drive with Blaque. Sings back up and second verses, and sometimes takes the lead on such tracks as:
Rainbow Drive
Bring it All to Me
