A Ruger Blackhawk flat top conversion using the Bowen rear sight. The Colt Elliason or Accro sight can be used as well. These two sights are about 1/16" higher than the Bowen, and allow a higher front sight to be used. A reshaped Super Blackhawk hammer which has been checkered 30 lpi is used on this Best Grade conversion. The flat top is a very nice modification: It just looks right.
