Chapter 2: Kimberly

"Hey." He sighed, and stretched. She looked down at him. He was so good looking, even when he did first wake up.

"I know I am not supposed to be in here, and I know that I seem really nosy, but may I ask who Kimberly is?" She asked, giving him the notebook. Seth sighed.

"TJ, I'm sorry I didn't tell you this before. I meant too, I really did. Well, I'll go ahead and start at the beginning." He told her.

"About nine years ago, I was new at the job of being Captain of a starship. I hadn't been on very many missions. None past the Milky way galaxy, but then, the Admiral called me in to his office. He explained to me that the new mission would last aproximatly three months. I immediatly jumped at this chance. All we had to do was retrieve a supply of Unioxidation from Memphor 256. That was going to be so simple, or so I thought.

The crew of the ship, however was not exactly to my liking. There were six of them. Benny Jenkins, Yensing Beings, Kevin Bennings, Jerry Springs, Temio, and then there was Jenny. Jenny was the only one who seemed to like me in the least little bit. She was my only friend.

One night, we had a party. I got drunk, and woke up beside Jenny the next morning. I asked around, and found out that it was no accident that I got drunk, and that I was the only one who wasn't sober that night. I immediatly blamed Jenny for it, and she immediatly admited that she didn't want me for who I was, but for- well, you know. And anyway, a few weeks later, we found out that Jenny was pregnant. I tried to be a good father. I even proposed to her, against my better will. She refused, and decided that she wanted to marry someone else. Well, She still told Kimberly about me, and me and Kimmy have been faxing letters forever. I guess that is about it." He sighed. TJ looked at the floor. This incodent not only explained the note, but why he was so afraid to get involved with her.

"Look." TJ layed down beside him. "I really am sorry about that. I just know that you'll get to see your daughter someday. And one more thing. Don't be afriad of me." She told him. He smiled at her. She reached over him and turned off the lights.
