WWF Smackdown Report – November 4, 1999

  • Degeneration X backstage looking at clips of Raw put together by the Road Dogg.

  • Mankind & Al Snow defeated The Super Heavyweights to win the WWF Tag Team Titles.
    -The King and Michael Cole started the match by criticizing the boycott of Al Snow’s action figure. Al Snow started the match with Hardcore Holly. Val Venis was shown backstage. Mankind and Snow made a few quick tags. The Hollys reversed the momentum and took control of the middle of the match. Al Snow took most of the damage. He was able to reverse control by nailing a suplex from the top rope, and got the tag to Mankind. Mankind pulled out Mr. Socko and tried to put the Mandible Claw on Crash but Hardcore was able to interfere. Al Snow entered and all four men went at it. Mankind hit the double armed DDT and got the pin on Crash to win the Tag Titles. After the match, the Hollys began to fight each other.

  • Backstage, Stone Cold was confronting JR about what he said going off the air at Raw. JR said he didn’t mean anything by it, he just thought that the Mr.McMahon of old never did anything by accident.

  • Backstage, Mankind & Al Snow were celebrating their victory with Edge, Christian, the Hardys, and the Blue Meanie. Mankind said he had to leave because he had business to take care of.

  • D’lo Brown defeated Test.
    -Michael Cole announced that Test and Stephanie’s wedding will be on November 29th on Raw. The Mean Street Posse looked on from the top of the ramp, they discussed about how they dislike Test. Test got a near fall with a side slam. The Posse continued to mock Test during the match. D’lo attempted a move from the top rope but when he landed, he grabbed his knee and screamed in pain. Test went over to see if he was alright and D’lo placed him in a small package and got the pin. D’lo continued to appear hurt, and Test helped him up.

  • Backstage, Mankind was with the Acolytes. He told them that they should start hanging out again, to which the Acolytes responded that he can not go drinking with them Mankind said it didn’t matter because he didn’t drink anyway, and walked off.

  • Backstage, JR was with the Rock. The Rock said he just wanted to know what JR meant by saying JR hoped want Vince did was an accident. JR said he was mistaken, that he was thinking of the Vince of old. Rock said if JR was lying he would take his ten gallon hat, etc. etc. etc.

  • The Hardy Boys with Terri defeated Too Cool
    -Scott Taylor was introduced as Scotty Too Hotty, and Brian Christopher was introduced as Grandmaster Sexy. The Hardys took control of the early part of the match. Several high risk maneuvers were attempted during the match. Scotty was distracted by Terri and allowed Jeff to hit a senton bomb and get the pin.

  • Backstage, Mankind was still looking for Val Venis. He ran into the hos. They told him where they thought Val was, and he left. As he left, one of the ho’s said she thought he was cute. While she said this, Mankind was picking his butt.

  • Backstage, Torrie and Kane were with JR. Torrie said that Kane was concerned with what JR meant at the end of Raw. JR gave the same reasoning as he had given The Rock and Austin.

  • Kurt Angle promo shown.

  • Vince McMahon’s arrival shown.

  • Edge defeated the Bulldog by disqualification, The Bulldog retained the European Title.
    -During the match, Christian made his way to the ring. The Headbangers then came to the ring. The Bulldog controlled the early part of the match. Edge hit a drop kick from the top rope that sent the Bulldog out of the ring. Christian then hit a DDT on Bulldog and sent him back in the ring. The Posse then attacked Christian. Edge went for the pin, but Rodney broke the count at two, and the ref called for the bell. At that point all eight men went at it.

  • Backstage, Vince is confronting JR about his comments. He was upset that JR said he could hit his own son. JR said he made a mistake. JR said he thinks it was an accident, and apologized. Vince accepted.

  • Mankind was in a strip club asking whether anyone has seen Val Venis.

  • DX interview.
    -HHH started by saying that the world can’t get enough DX. HHH recapped Raw, he said that Road Dogg, X-Pac, and Mr. Ass beat on The Rock, Kane, and Austin. They then showed the end of Raw, with Vince hitting Shane with the Title Belt. HHH then introduced the newest member of DX, Vince McMahon. Vince entered. Vince asked the crowd if he should join DX. Then his mic went out. HHH made a comment about how the company is a billion-dollar company, but can’t get a mic to work. Vince said he’d rather join WCW then DX. He then announced a Survivor Series 8 man elimination match-up for tonight. DX vs. Shane, Kane, The Rock, and Austin.

  • Mankind was at a peep show looking for Val Venis. He accidently walked in on a few peep shows. He then went in and watched a show.

  • The Godfather defeated Y2J.
    -The Godfather did his usual spiel, but then told the hos to take their shirts off. As they were about to, Jericho’s music began. Jericho said that no one came to see scantily clad women; they came to see Y2J. He then said at Survivor Series, he would make Chyna his own ho. During the match, Chyna and Miss Kitty were shown backstage. Stevie Richards made his way to ringside dressed as a cheerleader. He had the hos distract the ref while he landed a Stevie Kick on Jericho. The Godfather then landed the ho train and gained the victory. The hos then celebrated with the ref.

  • Backstage, Lillian Garcia asked Stevie what was his obsession with Chyna. He said she was one big piece of ass. He then did a cheer for Chyna.

  • Vince and Shane talked about the eight man tag.

  • Mankind was shown leaving the peep show, and his car was being towed away.

  • Backstage, Vince was trying to have a word with Stone Cold.

  • Al Snow was retelling his story about gaining the title, when Val Venis attacked him. Val then thanked the hos for delivering his message that got Mankind out of the building.

  • Big Show and Bossman went to No Contest.
    -Big Show started out strong, which caused the Bossman to try to leave. The Big Show caught him and brought him back to the ring. The ref called for the bell. Big Show ignored the bell, and chokeslammed Bossman. He then chokeslammed Prince Albert, Dave Hebner, Sgt. Slaughter, and Tony Garia.

  • Backstage, the Rock walked by Vince and said he smelled it.

  • Degeneration X defeated Shane McMahon, Kane, The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin in an eight man Survivor Series match.
    -Several times early in the match, all eight men went at it. Gunn his a fame-asser on Kane, and X-Pac covered him, to eliminate Kane. Vince McMahon then made his way to the ring. Shane was the next to be eliminated with the X-factor. After DX had the advantage on the Rock for a while, Rock reversed momentum with a Samoan Drop. Rock hit a Rock Bottom on Road Dogg and eliminated him. Rock finally made a tag and Austin cleared the ring. Austin eliminated X-Pac with the Stunner. The Rock attempted a People’s Elbow but HHH interfered. Gunn attempted a pin on The Rock, but The Rock rolled it over and eliminated Gunn. HHH quickly put a Pedigree on The Rock, and The Rock was eliminated. Vince then tried to interfere. He took the belt and tried to hit HHH, but like on Raw, HHH ducked, and Vince hit Austin. HHH then got the pin and the victory for DX.
