• It was announced that J.J. Dillon named Dusty Rhodes as the head of the Championship Committee. Rhodes could basically sign matches with any kind of title on the line. It was also announced, as mentioned last week, that Sting had a meeting with WCW officials and handed the Presidency of the company back to WCW. A new president would be named in a few weeks.

• The Death Pool (Vampiro and The Insane Clown Posse, w/Raven) defeated Norman Smiley, Prince Iaukea, and Lash LeRoux with a Moonsault by Violent J.

Norman Smiley was soon tagged in and he started to dominate Vampiro and The Insane Clown Posse, taking them down with bodyslams. After Vampiro held down Las LeRoux, Violent J nailed LeRoux with a Moonsault for the victory.

• Backstage, The Revolution talked to Dusty Rhodes, asking him if he knew what was going around or if anything was going to change. Rhodes said once Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, and Shane Douglas got their opportunity, he would see what he could do. Meanwhile, David Flair walked by, along with Torrie Wilson, calling Rhodes an old-timer. David and Benoit had words. Benoit later responded by taking David down with the Crippler Crossface. Rhodes then told David he would defend the United States Title against Benoit later in the show.

• Backstage, Hollywood Hogan's son walked into his father's locker room and said it was time for his interview. Hogan was doing push-ups. His son asked Hogan why he wasn't wearing the stuff he packed for Hogan. Hogan said, "What stuff?" His son then pulled out Hogan's old yellow and red, Hulkamaniac attire. Hogan said he would be back and as he made his way to the ring for his interview, he was attacked by Kevin Nash, Sid Vicious, and Steiner. They dragged him down to the ring. Sting and Goldberg then ran in to scare the heels out of the ring. Hogan got on the microphone and said wrestling was his life. He said he was sick and tired of Nash, Sid, and Steiner. Hogan announced not only would he put the Heavyweight Title on the line in his Road Wild match with Nash, but also his career. Hogan then challenged the heels to a six-man tag team match for later in the show. Nash accepted. Sting said since Hogan was putting everything on the line, why shouldn't Nash do the same. Goldberg told Steiner to bring his ass to Sturgis, South Dakota and put that on the line. Meanwhile, after Nash said if Hogan, Sting, and Goldberg would shut up for a minute, the crowd booed. Nash said he didn't eat potatoes anyway, so he didn't care about Boise, Idaho. Nash said he would put his career on the line as well, but Hogan would be the one who would lose. Hogan said once he and his best friends beat Nash, Sid, and Steiner later in the show, it would be Hogan and Nash only. Nash said if Hogan, Goldberg, and Sting wrestled he and Sid and Steiner later in the night, they wouldn't make it to Sturgis anyway. Nash said Hogan was finished. Nash, Sid, and Steiner walked halfway toward the ring. Nash tore off his t-shirt like Hogan. The heels soon backed off, as we went to a commercial break.

Benoit manhandled David and hit the Diving Headbutt for th ewin. In the process of the maneuver, The Triad was about to interfere, bt was stopped by Douglas, Saturn, and Malenko. Diamond Dallas Page was able to get in the ring. He started to attack Benoit, until the rest of the members of The Revolution made the save. Benoit told DDP if he wanted the United States Title, to come and get it, in their No Disqualification match at the Road Wild PPV. He said he would two-time, two-time, two-time kick DDP's ass.

• Randy Savage Interview, Conducted by Gene Okerlund.
- Randy Savage once again announced Gorgeous George with Randy Savage, but there was no George. Randy Savage held up a sign that said, "Macho Man for President, George for intern." Okerlund asked where George was. Savage simply said she wasn't there. Savage said at Road Wild, he would be getting the scumbag known as Dennis Rodman, and then George would be back. He then brought up the subjects he said he would talk about the previous Thursday on Thunder. He said he was ready to kick ass, since he was the badest dude on the planet. He didn't answer whether or not he was okay with Sid Vicious' alliance with Kevin Nash, nor did he talk about his candidacy for Presidency of the United States, his hummer driver, etc.

He announced they would be in concert later in the show to play their new song, Good Old Boy. Gene Okerlund said The West Texas Rednecks were mistaking, since Chad Brock was performing. Hennig said insulted Brock and said if Brock should up, his ass would be kicked off the stage. Okerlund said, "You rednecks have been pre-empted." Hennig said when they don't get the stage, someone would pay the price, since they were the greatest singers and wrestlers today.

As the match went on, Ernest Miller, along with Sonny Onoo, appeared the entrance-way. He made his way down with his red dancing shoes on. It appeared Bagwell had the pin after a crossbody, but Miller pulled the referee out of the ring. Onoo hit Bagwell with his briefcase, but when the pin was made by Norton, Bagwell kicked out. Miller entered the ring and ended up getting clotheslined by Norton. Onoo received the Blockbuster.

• Country music star, Chad Brock performed. Curt Hennig watched on from the corner of the stage. He and Brock stared off. The started to go at it, with the rest of The West Texas Rednecks trying to separate the two. Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Shane Douglas, and Perry Saturn made their ways down to back up Brock.

• Kanyon defeated Booker T. with the Flatliner.
- Before the match, Diamond Dallas Page told Chris Benoit to keep the United States Title shiny for him, because he would be taking it back at the Road Wild PPV. As usual, the crowd responded with "Everybody," to Kanyon's "Who's better than Kanyon" question. The Triad then insulted Harlem Heat's mother. The referee sent DDP and Bam Bam Bigelow to the back. Stevie Ray was allowed to remain at ringside, as he got his cheapshots on Kanyon. As the match went on, Booker T. accidently knocked out the referee. Bigelow and DDP almost immediately ran in to lay their attack on Ray. Kanyon then hit Booker with one of the Tag Team Title belts, followed by the Flatliner for the win.

• Dennis Rodman Interview, Conducted by Gene Okerlund.
- Dennis Rodman came out to Hollywood Hogan's entrance music. The crowd basically booed him. Rodman said he loved Idaho. Rodman said the reason Randy Savage was keeping Gorgeous George away from WCW was because she wanted to supposedly be with him (Rodman). Rodman said when he beat Macho Asshole, he would get George and take her up and down Sturgis, South Dakota to make sure she knew she was his bitch. Randy Savage stormed his way down to the ring. Rodman ran away, as security and Boise Police held both Savage and Rodman behind.

• Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, and Sting defeated Kevin Nash, Rick Steiner, and Sid Vicious with Sting's Scorpian Deathlock.
- Hulk Hogan surprisingly returned in his yellow and red colors, as the Hulkster and Hulkamaniac we all remebered him as. He even came out this his "American Made" entrance music. Hogan was cleaning house in the beginning, as the crowd went crazy and followed every maneuver Hogan executed. Goldberg was tagged in and he was also dominating, until Rick Steiner got in a cheapshot, to let Sid Vicious capitalize on Goldberg. Goldberg was soon back on top, however. Sting was tagged in and he immediately executed his Stinger Splash. One simple counter by Sid let the heels take the advantage. The referee was squashed in the corner, at which point Sting made his comeback and executed three Stinger Splashes on Kevin Nash. Steiner nailed Sting with a chair. Goldberg speared Steiner. Sid then whacked Goldberg with the chair. Hogan quickly pick up the chair and nailed both Sid and Nash, who was setting Sting up for the Jack-Knife Powerbomb. Sting then strapped Nash in the Scorpian Deathlock, with another referee making his way in to call for the bell.
