• Backstage, Team Madness arrived in their hummer. A black limousine pulled up at the sametime and inside was Kevin Nash. Nash ran up to see who was the driver of the hummer, but the driver took off before Nash could get a look.
• Master P. and two others performed a rap song near the Nitro set.
• Backstage, Lenny Lane tried to decide whether to wear blue or yellow trunks for his upcoming match with Meng. Lodi walked in and explained to Lane he had a big match. Lodi started to massage Lane's shoulders, with Lane moaning and saying Lodi had great thumbs (they are taking this to a gay angle). Lane also put his pony tail to the side.
• Kidman and Psychosis went to a No-Contest.
- Kidman and Psychosis wrestled a match that saw several high-flying maneuvers. As it continued, Kidman hit a face buster and went for the Shooting Star Press, but was too slow, as Psychosis was out of position. Team Madness then made their ways down. Randy Savage and Sid Vicious destroyed Psychosis and Kidman. Sting then ran in and scared off Team Madness. Kevin Nash then made his way down after Team Madness left to the backstage area. Nash asked what was with Sting not laying a hand on Team Madness and letting them leave. He then asked what was the deal with Sting coming out of a hummer to attack Rick Steiner the previous Monday on Nitro in his match with Hak. Sting immediately told Nash he was not the driver of the hummer. Nash said he wasn't accusing Sting of nothing, but if he found out it was him, he would have to deal with Nash. Nash then exited to the backstage area.
• Backstage, Ric Flair told Roddy Piper he wanted Kevin Nash and Sting vs. Randy Savage and Sid Vicious at the Bash at the Beach PPV. Piper said he loved it. Piper then suggested a Sting vs. Sid match for later in the show and Flair agreed.
• Meng defeated Lenny Lane with the Tongan Death Grip.
- As the match went on, Lodi made his way down to the ringside area with "You Can Win Lenny" and "Lodi Rulz" signs. Meng dominated Lenny Lane and finished him off with the Tongan Death Grip. Lodi then entered the ring to revive his good friend.
• Master P. and The No Limit Soldiers made their ways out for a birthday celebration for Master's brother, Silk Da Shocker. Master brought in a fan from a crowd to sing Happy Birthday. Curt Hennig, with a cowboy hat, made his way out with a birthday present. Hennig apologized for "accidently" breaking Master's autographed CD at the Great American Bash PPV. Hennig opened up the present and inside was a custom-made cowboy hat for Master's brother. The No Limit Soldiers then threw the cake into Hennig's face.
• Eddie Guerrero defeated Juventud Guerrera with the Frog Splash.
- Eddie Guerrero, who was in tremendous shape, made his return to the ring after being out of action since January because of a crash on the New Year's Holiday (originally they did an angle where Guerrero was put out of action by The Wolfpac when The Wolfpac was trying to get rid of the LWO, but that was changed). Guerrero, remaining in his heel role, received "Eddie Sucks" chants. Guerrera nailed Guerrero with chest slaps, leaving Guerrero's chest with scars and a bright red color. As the match continued, Guerrero took the victory with the Frog Splash.
• Ernest Miller (w/Sonny Onoo) defeated Prince Iaukea with a Roundhouse Kick.
- Before the match, Ernest Miller danced in his red shoes. Miller insulted the crowd, and a fan tried to enter the ring, but was held back by security. Miller gave Prince Iaukea five seconds to leave the ring, but Iaukea didn't, so the match was underway. Sonny Onoo got his cheapshots on Iaukea. Iaukea took the advantage, but the moment Onoo distracted the referee, Miller nailed Iaukea with a Roundhouse Kick with the red shoe on. Miller then put on his red cape that read, "The Greatest."
• Booker T. defeated Kanyon by Disqualification.
- Kanyon, who came down with one of the Tag Team Titles belt, said before he headed over to Burbon Street and beat on Booker T., he asked who was better than Kanyon. Nobody responded, so Kanyon said everyone must of been drunk. Kanyon worked slowly on Booker T., using several different submission maneuvers. As Booker took the advantage, Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow made their ways in to attack Kanyon's opponent, resulting in a Disqualification. Booker was put through the Flatliner and the combination of Greetings from Asbury Park and the Diamond Cutter. Referee, Nick Patrick also received a Diamond Cutter.
• Ric Flair, Roddy Piper Interview, with Arn Anderson and Asya, Conducted by Gene Okerlund.
- Roddy Piper said he came to Nitro to stir up some gumble, since he was next to Ric Flair. He insulted Buff Bagwell, saying he was just someone who begged to be in the main event. He called Bagwell a liar. Flair said he either had a lot of grandchildren in the crowd or he still wanted to ride Space Mountain. He told a few people in the crowd to shut up. He claimed Bagwell's girlfriend called him up, asking why they called Flair Space Mountain and Bagwell buff. Flair told her he would show her Space Mountain and did so the previous night. Bagwell then entered the ring and went after Flair, but was outnumbered. As the attack continued, Flair had he and Piper take on Bagwell in a Handicap Match, as the referee called for the bell.
• Ric Flair and Roddy Piper (w/Arn Anderson, Asya) defeated Buff Bagwell and Dean Malenko via Pinfall.
- The match was originally Handicap Match but that changed later on. Ric Flair said he wanted to hear the noise Buff Bagwell's girlfriend made the previous night. Anderson tried to come to Flair's assistance, but Bagwell clocked him twice, as he took the advantage. Piper then took control with his Sleeper Hold. Flair later went for the Figure-Four Leglock, but Bagwell countered with a roll-up, but Flair kicked out on two. As the match continued, Dean Malenko made his way in to help Bagwell, but the referee would not allow it. Malenko ended up staying on the outside of the ring as a partner of Bagwell. Bagwell made the hot tag as Malenko cleaned house. He even took a shot at Anderson, who was once again knocked down to the outside of the ring. Malenko was set to put Flair in the Texas Cloverleaf, but was distracted by Piper. Anderson then entered to attack Malenko, but Malenko put him in the Texas Cloverleaf. Piper then pulled some brass knuckles out of his pants and clocked Bagwell, put Flair's arm over Bagwell, and then the pin was made.
• Konnan and Rey Mysterio, Jr. (w/No Limit Soldiers) defeated The Triad by Disqualification, to let The Triad retain the Tag Team Titles.
- Konnan and Rey Mysterio, Jr. hyped up the crowd. The Triad of Diamond Dallas Page, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Kanyon were all allowed to switch throughout the match, as they dominated. The moment Konnan tagged in Mysterio, they began to dominate, until Curt Hennig, Bobby Duncum, Jr., Barry Windham, and now Kendall Windham made their ways out to attack the faces. Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn then made their ways down to join in on the brawl. The entire No Limit Soldier group then made their ways in and scared off the heels.
• Sting defeated Sid Vicious by Disqualification.
- The match was barely underway as Randy Savage and his women made their ways out. They continued to get their cheapshots on Sting throughout. Sid continued to dominate, until he missed a leg drop in the corner of the ring. Sting then gave Sid a Stinger Splash, which caused Savage to enter the ring for an attack, resulting in a Disqualification. Lex Luger then made his way in and scared off Team Madness. Savage and Sid got on the microphone and insulted and taunted Luger. Sting said we got two words for you, as the crowd responded with the words, "Suck it."
