Jeff Jarrett Interview
-Jeff Jarrett told Mean Gene that he was the chosen one. He said he needed the WCW Title. He said Dustin Rhodes had screwed him out of his destiny. He said he would end Dustin’s career at Starrcade. He said if anyone else wanted a piece of him, bring it on. He called out Mike Tenay. Mike Tenay entered. Tenay said he would take matters into his own hand. Jarrett said last week was a misunderstanding. Jarrett then attacked Tenay from behind and put him in the figure four. Goldberg entered for the save.
Backstage, Tony Marinara was yelling at Vito and Johnny. He said he wanted Disco tonight; Curly Bill sold The Powers on a new gimmick, Shane.
In the woods, Fit Finley was shown yelling at Brian Knobbs. He was training him.
Norman Smiley defeated Rhonda Sing to retain the WCW Hardcore Title
-Norman said he would kick Fit Finlay’s booty. He then offered an open invitation to a Hardcore Title Match. Rhonda Sing entered. She attacked Smiley with several shots with a garbage can. Sing sprayed Smiley as he was doing the Hardcore Wiggle. Smiley threw Sing threw a table and got the pin.
The Maestro was trying to fix one of his keys. David Flair entered and kidnapped Symphony; The Powers told La Parka and Psychosis that the first one out of his office could take the IWGP belt since Juvi was hurt; Bret Hart was shown arriving.
Luger arrived at Liz’s room, he said he wanted to make up, he had champagne; Marinara was in his office, Disco and Lash knocked on the door.
Jushin Liger defeated Psychosis to recapture the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title
-Buzzkill was at ringside during the match. Psychosis had control for most of the match. Liger was able to roll him over and get the pin. After the match, La Parka entered and hit Psychosis with a chair.
Three of the Nitro Girls were backstage playing cards, Johnny and Vito convince them to play strip poker; Luger tried to convince Liz to rejoin him.
The Maestro was backstage looking for Symphony; Mona told Gene that she was there to compete.
Madusa defeated Evan Karagias and Mona in a three way dance to gain a title shot at Starrcade
-Karagias joined the announce table while the two ladies fought. He re-entered the ring to help Madusa when Mona had control. Madusa rolled up Karagias to gain the victory. Jeff Jarrett entered and hit Madusa with a guitar, and then challenged Goldberg to a match.
Disco and Lash tied Marinara to a chair and gagged him; Liz poured the champagne on Luger’s head.
Vampiro and Jerry Only told Mean Gene that they liked pain, and Dr. Death and Oklahoma were in trouble.
Dr. Death & Oklahoma defeated Vampiro & Jerry Only
-Oklahoma had a headset on and called the beginning of the match from the corner. It was knocked out when he tried to wrestle. Oklahoma did an elbow drop from the first turnbuckle and got the pin on Vampiro.
Vito and Johnny were losing to the Nitro Girls; Lash and Disco were tar and feathering Tony Marinara; Luger and Hart made their way to the ring.
The Outsiders told Mean Gene that Sting would be in the trash tonight and that Benoit would not make it to Starrcade.
Bret Hart defeated Lex Luger to retain the WCW Heavyweight Title
-Bret Hart attacked before Luger could get his poses. Hart had the early control. Elizabeth began to make her way to ringside, but Sting followed her. He said she could represent him. Luger was distracted, which allowed Hart to hit a legsweep and then put Luger in the Sharpshooter.
Midnight was shown backstage
The Powers told La Parka that he was the official chairman; Booker T and Stevie Ray entered the Powers office, they were given a title shot at Starrcade, La Parka then attacked Booker T from behind with a chair, while Creative Control attacked Stevie Ray
Roddy Piper arrived and was babbling again; David Flair had Symphony backstage; Jerry Flynn said that Berlyn broke the rules of the Block.
Asya with The Revolution and Midnight went to a No Contest
-Shane called the crowd jackasses. He said the crowd turned their backs on The Revolution and it was their fault what they did to the flag. Saturn took the mic and said they were like the Black Panthers. Midnight had control of most of the match, until Shane Douglas entered the ring and the Revolution attacked her. Saturn attacked the ref, while the rest attacked Midnight. Jim Duggan entered with the 2x4. The Revolution was able to reverse the momentum and attacked Duggan. They left their flag with Duggan.
Larry Zbyszko was shown backstage; Roddy Piper still babbling.
Roddy Piper defeated Creative Control in an ‘I quit’ match
-Piper was the ref of his own match. Piper began by frisking both members of Creative Control. Piper started by attacking both men and taking the early control. Soon Creative Control took over with their power. The two beat on Piper but he would not say he quit. They were about to piledrive Piper into a chair when Goldberg ran in. He attacked one of the members of Creative Control (almost dropping him when he tried a spear), and Piper was able to get the other to say “I quit”. Goldberg then told Piper that they were even.
Disco and Lash were continuing to tar and feather Marinara with what appeared to be chocolate sauce; Johnny and Vito were upset with each other because they kept losing in cards, Vito proposed a winner take all hand.
The Maestro walked by a shoe that belonged to Symphony
Dustin Rhodes and Meng went to a No Contest.
-Dustin used his coat to take an early advantage. Meng quickly reversed. Dustin hit a Bulldog, but Meng was not hurt. Jeff Jarrett entered and threw Meng over the top ropes. Dustin was able to get the advantage over Jarrett until the Outsiders entered to help out Jarrett. The three destroyed Rhodes.
The Powers asked Larry why Thunder wasn’t any good. Larry said it was because of The Powers. The Powers said that he was replacing the announcers. Larry said The Powers were the problem, and then he made fun of Hennig. The Powers said tonight Larry would fight Hennig, if Hennig one Larry was out of WCW, if Larry won, the Powers would leave.
The Artist formerly known as Prince Iaukea was shown.
Curt Hennig with Shane defeated Larry Zbyszko, Zbyszko must leave WCW
-Zbyszko was in very good shape. He took the early control. The ref was knocked out. Hennig had control with several chops and mat moves. Zbyszko hit a DDT, but Shane entered and attacked Zbyzsko. Arn Anderson entered and attacked Hennig and Shane with a baseball bat. Zbyszko was able to get the pin. Creative Control entered and showed the ref AA’s interference. The ref reversed the decision and gave the victory to Curt Hennig.
Lash and Disco stuck an apple in Marinara’s mouth; Johnny and Vito ran off in boxers after losing again.
Kevin Nash with Scott Hall and Chris Benoit went to a No Contest.
-Scott Hall brought a ladder to ringside and joined the announcers. Nash had early control in the match. Nash went for the powerbomb, but Benoit reversed it into the crippler crossface. Hall took out the ref, but Benoit headed off the attack. Benoit hit a crossbody from the tope of the ladder on to Hall. Nash was able to get a powerbomb on Benoit however. Hall set Benoit up for the Outsider Edge on to the ladder, but Sid came to ringside and saved Benoit.
DDP was shown.
Sting told Mean Gene that he was always one step ahead of Luger.
Johnny and Vito interview
-Johnny and Vito entered to the Godfather’s music. They called out Disco and Lash. The two blondes that were with them last week made their way to ringside. While Johnny and Vito were occupied with the blondes, Lash and Disco attacked from behind. Marinara entered with a pipe. They attacked Lash and Disco and carried them out of the ring.
Disco and Lash were thrown into the back of the car. While Vito, Johnny, and Marinara celebrated, Disco and Lash drove off.
While looking for Symphony, The Maestro walked into the Block. Jerry Flynn knocked out The Maestro. David Flair then entered and hit Flynn with the crowbar.
Nick Patrick said he barred everyone from ringside for the Sting-Hall match tonight, except for people with legal business; DDP was shown again.
Sting with Elizabeth defeated Scott Hall with Kevin Nash
-Nash still came down and joined the announcers table. Elizabeth came to the ring with Sting. She had a contract with Sting, so Nick Patrick let her stay. Sting had early control of the match. While the fight was near the announce table, Nash started to choke Sting with his headphone wires. The ref sent Nash away from ringside. Liz got on the ring apron. She sprayed Hall with the mace. Sting hit the Stinger Splash and applied the Scorpion for the victory.
DDP and Sid Vicious went to a No Contest.
-David Flair pulled Symphony to ringside. He called out the Maestro. DDP entered. DDP hit Flair with the Diamond Cutter. DDP said people haven’t been loyal to him. Sid had control early with his power. DDP attempted the Diamond Cutter but Sid pushed out, and knocked the ref out. Sid powerbombed DDP. Hall and Nash entered. They were attacking Sid, until Benoit entered. Jeff Jarrett then entered. Bret Hart then entered. Security entered and separated the six. Nick Patrick said he was leaving and so the main event can be a lumberjack match.
Goldberg defeated Jeff Jarrett in a lumberjack match.
-The Jarrett-Goldberg match started with about 10 men in the ring. Piper entered. He said he would ref the match. Jarrett started to walk away but some members of the Packers stopped him and sent him back to the ring. Dustin threw Jarrett into the ring. Goldberg dominated most of the match. Jarrett tried to leave but Dustin, Sid, Benoit, and Hart threw him back in. Goldberg left the ring, and all the lumberjacks started to fight. Jarrett hit Goldberg with two chair shots, but Goldberg kicked out. Jarrett had control, but Goldberg was able to hulk up and get out of the sleeper. Goldberg speared Jarrett, and went for the Jackhammer and got the pin.
