WCW Monday Nitro – December 20, 1999<br>

<li>Show starts with some highlights of events that lead up to Bret Hart and Goldbergs match at Starcade.<p>

<li>Madusa with Spice defeated Buzzkill to retain the WCW Cruiserweight Title.<br>
Madusa gloated about being the first woman to hold a WCW title.  She tells the Powers she isn’t about T and A and she propositions anyone to come to the ring and she will neuter their ass.  She notices Buzzkill parading around with his sign and calls him to the ring took control.  Buzzkill started to get the better of Madusa when Spice distracted the referee.  Buzzkill tried to get his attention and Spice threw a foreign object to Madusa and she used it to win the match.  On the way out you could  see the object in her tights. <p> 

<li>The Powers tells his men to be on their guard tonight.  Hennig tells him he saw Hugh Morrus backstage, and the Power booked him with Morrus.  He told the goons to bring Piper to him.  Piper arrives with his son in tow.  <p>

<li>Piper has his son help him tape his wrists.  Patrick and Gerald come get him and he said he had to get someone to watch his kid.  He takes his son with him.<p>

<li>Curt Hennig defeated Hugh Morris  <br>
During the intros a masked man is shown in the back hitting Shane with a pipe or something.  Someone old walks out in a hospital gown and Hugh goes to get him to leave.  He tells him to go sit down and calls him pop.  He returns to the ring a couple times and Hugh yells at him.  Hennig hit the Hennigplex and got the pin. After the match, pops returns to the ring and mocks Hugh crying about losing.<p>

<li>The Powers told Roddy and his son that he is an asshole and Piper told him to watch his mouth.  He told him that if he touched him he is gone.  He told him he will go out and tell the crowd he sold out, and The Powers had nothing to do with it.  He says he was going to shoot with him and the smart marks.  He says he had 6000 plus matches and he and Hogan made this sport.  He said he will go out there and show him how to be a man.  He said he will put his son in a car with security guards and he would return and shoot with him.  He told him God have mercy on your soul as I am going to have it.<p>

<li>Stills from last nights match between Bret Hart and Goldberg.<p>

<li>Kevin Nash came out and said one of the codes the wrestlers live by is the boys never screw one of the boys.  He said the boys and office are separate entities.  He said the boys come out night after night and give their bodies.  They cover for themselves and the office is all about the almighty dollars.  He said the office doesn't care about them.  They have no benefits and the office doesn't pay their social security.  He said if the office can find a way to screw the boys to make a dollar the boys are going to get screwed.  He said he doesn't give a damn about Goldberg.  He said the boys were all about surviving and the office will take until there’s nothing left and they will throw them to the curb.  He said Bret screwed one of the boys for personal gain.<p>

<li>They show footage of Bret Hart arriving during the break. <p> 

<li>Gerald and Patrick say Nash needed his mouth shut permanently, as he doesn't speak on behalf of the boys and he didn’t know what he was talking about.<p>

<li>Tank Abbot vs. Jerry Flynn in a no holds barred match ends in a no contest<br>
Tank punched a ref down and then both attack security and laid out 4 of them until they were pulled apart and both men kept jumping at each other.  They handcuffed Flynn and Tank punched him.<p>

<li>Goldberg arrived in a corvette and slammed his door and stormed into the arena;  They advertised a new years eve special next Monday.<p>

<li>Revolution Interview<br>
The Revolution came out and called out Duggan.  Saturn jerked the mic away from Shane Douglas.  He babbled about a tootsie roll pop and how many licks does it take to get to the middle.  Douglas called out Duggan and demanded that he denounce his country and tear up the US flag.  Duggan walked out with his head hung low and wiping tears from his eyes.  Douglas demanded he denounce his country and Duggan said he wasn’t going to do it.  He said he lied, so the Revolution held him and Douglass kicked the crap out out of him.  Douglas said to hell with standards and practices, and the Revolution throw the flag in the trash and pour gas on it and try to light it on fire.  The Filthy Animals come out and Duggan pulled the flag out of the trash as the Revolution fled.  <p>

<li>Roddy Piper interview<br>
Bret watched on a monitor as Piper made his way to the ring.  He said he sold out and he told the Powers he had done a lot of stuff and fought in all towns and he was not a phony.  He told Russo, by name, the fans wanted to see wrestling and not all the b.s.  He said Goldberg is one of the biggest talents he has ever seen.  The fans chanted Goldberg and Piper told the fans to tell the Powers they want real wrestlers and not phonies.  He said he quits if the Powers want him to go with the stories and soap opera.  He told them to call him when they want a real fighter and told everyone to grab their son and kiss them, don't hit them and tell them how much you love them.  He said he quits, and that's it.  Goldberg approached him on the ramp and his son told him he loves him.  Goldberg said he stayed up all night trying to make sense of this crap.  He looked up to Piper until last night.  He said he was faced with a decision and he made the wrong decision.  He says Piper sold out and Goldberg would never do that.  Piper wished him all the best and asked him not to be a phony either.  Bret came out and said there was no point blaming anyone as he knew more than anyone what its like to get screwed by the office.  He said as far as he is concerned the title is vacant and he is gonna go tell the office to stick the belt up their ass.  Goldberg said eveyone makes mistakes and he understands as Piper picked his son up and left.  Bret went into the Powers office and called Russo a piece of sh**.  Russo says he tried to make up for his past screwing and Bret told him what to do with the title but finally the censors edited out some language.  Russo told him he will get a match with Goldberg tonight and called him a piece of garbage.<p>

<li>They cut back to the arena a little short as the announcer is giving the cue to cheer to the fans.<br><br>

<li>Fit Finlay & Brian Knobbs defeated Norman Smiley & Meng in a hardcore tag match. <br> 
Meng attacked Norman when he tried to pump him up and Norman runs from the ring and gets attacked by their opponents.  They all brawl around the ramp with trash cans and other stuff as the announcers talk about Finlays return from his injury earlier this year.  Knobbs hit Smiley with the bathroom door and got the pin.  <p>

<li>The Artist's valet says the artist won’t sing until the music is as good as his soul to a recording studio;  Bret Hart meets piper in the dressing room and tells him not to beat himself up like this;  Piper told him to get out of his way and heads somewhere talking about being free at last and smiling.  <p>

<li>The Maestro with Symphony defeated Evan Karagias<br>
Symphony falls down and Evan checks on her allowing Maestro to roll him up and pin him.<p>

<li>Piper destroyed the Powers office with his baseball bat and talked about Owen and Gorrilla.<p>

<li>Chavo Guererro asked Evan Karagias if he is ok and tried to sell him a book titled "how to pick up chicks" but Evan attacked him and punched him several times.<p>

<li>Chris Champagne Kanyon defeated DDP and Bam Bam Bigalo in a 3 way match<br>
Chris comes to the ring with a couple of girls in tow as his valets.  He said the Triad was done as he easily beat Page and Bigalo and calls them out.  Mr. Biggs who is Kanyon’s agent joins the commentators.  Bigalo and DDP team up on Kanyon and have an argument after a missed blow but keep on working on Kanyon.  They argue about who was going to finish him off,  and DDP turns on Bigalo after he executes his pinning move.  Page attemted to diamond cut the ref but stopped and walked off after kissing a fan.    Mr. Biggs threw a suitcase to Kanyon and the ref took it away and Kanyon waffled him with the Champagne bottle busting him open to pin him.<p>


<li>Kevin Nash vs. Creative Control went to a No Contest <br>
Scott Hall came to the ring, on crutches wearing his tag title belt, with Nash to the old Wolfpack music.  There was no referee for the match as Creative Control were supposed to shut him up.  Scott came to his partners aid and they do some Hogan stuff with the crutches and a perverted gesture.

<li>Luger dressed like Sting is cowering from Liz with a bat and they mock Sting.<p>

<li>Jeff Jarrett defeated Chris Benoit in a ladder match to win the US title.<br>
This match had fast paced back and forth action.  Jarrett injures his leg and Benoit goes for the ladder while the ref calls out the trainer.  The rungs fall out of the ladder when he climbs it or were supposed to but didn't so he helped them by kicking on a couple till they break loose like they are supposed too.  He tries the other side and it breaks too.  Jarrett hit Benoit with a guitar shot.  Jarrett gets another ladder out from under the ring and climbs up it and grabs the title to become the new US champ.  Gene interviewed Jarrett and accused him of gimmicking the ladder and Jarrett threatened Gene.  He said what happened last night was a bunch of horse**** and the censors finally cut it out.  Curt Hennig came out and told Jarrett the Powers wanted to see him RIGHT NOW in their limo.<p>

<li>Sid vs. the Wall went to a no contest<br>
Sid hit a series of punches and kicks.  Finally Sid called for the finish and chokeslammed the Wall.  Berlyn climbed onto the apron allowing the Wall some time.  Sid sets him for a powerbomb, but Berlyn distracted Sid.  The Wall set Sid up in a chokeslam, and Berlyn does a top rope dropkick on him, and then badmouths Sid who calls for the chokeslam. The Wall gets face to face with Sid and they shake hands.

<li>Jarrett asked the Powers if they were ribbing him and The Powers said something big was going to happen on top of the US title win he had tonight.<p>

<li>Tony told the boss he would be proud of him.  The boys brought in Disco and the Boss says he heard Disco had embarrassed his boys.  He asks Disco why he let it go so far, and he always liked him.  But he pissed him off.  He says he can either join the family and do what Johnny tells him or spend the rest of his life in a coma.<p>

<li>The Varsity Club defeated Harlem Heat<br>
The match went back and forth with several mat moves.  Sullivan came into the ring and began to double team Booker T when the lights went out.  Stevie Ray immediately threw Midnight from the ring.  As Heat began to argue, Rotunda rolled up Stevie for the pin.  PG 13 come out of the crowd and attack the Varsity club with their hubcaps and run off.  Rotundo looks visibly pissed.<p>

<li>Backstage, The Misfits insult the lady that helped David Flair last night, so she attacked Only and bit him on the face and ran off.  <p>

<li>David Flair interview<br>
-David Flair and the lady came to the ring and attacked David Penzer and called out Vampiro.  He told him to come down here so he could whip his ass.  They returned to kicking on Penzer.  Vampiro came out and said he doesn't want any problems and it's a big misunderstanding.  He says he was sorry that Flair is a psycho freak and insults the woman.  David hits him with the crowbar and then his woman does the same.  The Misfits come in and they lay out Only with the crowbar and she stands there and laughs hysterically and they kiss and leave.  <p>

<li>Buff Bagwell Interview<br>
-Buff Bagwell comes out with some words for the fans.  Gene says he has overcome adversity this year and he proved all the skeptics wrong.  Buff said there’s something missing from his career.  He talked about his neck injury and his tag title reigns.  He said everyone wonders when he is going to get some gold.  He says he will rise above and get some gold.  Gene asked him to address the rumors about Kimberly and Buff silenced him.  He told Buff if he walked away he was admitting guilt and Buff said they are just friends.  He gets heated at Gene and Gene brought up all his appearances with Kimberly while DDP was shooting a movie.  Buff said if Gene wanted to go there tonight he was willing.  He said Kimberly is a 10 and if DDP weren't married to Kimberly, Buff would put his stuff into Kimberly, but the last couple words are silenced.  He said if Kimberly was in his bed he wouldn't kick her out of it.  DDP came out, and snuck in from the back of him and attacked Buff.<p>

<li>Sid wished Piper luck on his way out.  Piper wished everyone Merry Christmas in the locker room.  He said they are the best group of athletes he has ever seen.  He asked them how they are going to be a main eventer listening to the Powers.  He said he made it this far because he has balls.  He said they only have their families and they are the best athletes he has seen.  Jeff Jarrett looks at a piece of paper in his locker room and sits down to watch a monitor.

<li>Bret Hart defeated Goldberg to retain the WCW World Title.<br>
This match goes back and forth with both men getting in some offense here and there.  Goldberg accidentally laid out a ref and Bret put Goldberg in a figure 4 leglock.  The Outsiders come out with baseball bats and hit Goldberg’s leg with a bat.  Nash handed his bat to Bret Hart, and he hits Goldberg with it.  Piper came out and attacked Bret Hart as he laid on Goldberg and the ref counted 3.  Jarrett came out with his guitars as Piper shielded Goldberg.  He picked Piper up and hits him with a guitar.  Jarrett brings out a can of silver spraypaint and they pull off Pipers shirt and spray paint NWO on both of them while they are laid out.  Nash tells Baltimore that the band is back together.  The announcers go off about how they got conned and never saw this coming.  Nash makes a cliq hand signal and they leave as the fans start throwing some trash in the ring.
