Backstage, Sid told a video technician to put a tape in when he gives the cue.
Sid Vicious interview.
-Sid told the crowd that he is upset with the Outsiders. He then moved on to Goldberg, and said he had proof of Goldberg quitting in their match at Havoc. A tape was then shown of their match, with Goldberg apparently saying he quits. (It was obviously Sid’s voice dubbed over the tape.) The Outsiders entered. Scott Hall questioned Sid as to why if Sid was the US Champ, then why did he have the belt. Sid said Hall screwed him. Sid was about to attack Hall, when Nash told him to stop. Nash said he should be upset with Bret Hart. Bret Hart entered. Bret said that Goldberg was the rightful US Champ, and he was going to take the belt and give it to Goldberg personally. Hall told Bret to bring it on. Goldberg entered from the crowd. The Outsiders quickly escaped, and Sid received a spear. Goldberg challenged Sid to an I quit match.
Backstage, Mike Tenay interviewed Sting. Sting said that Luger had a lot of explaining to do.
Footage shown of earlier in the day. Kimberly was shown asking security to protect her from David Flair tonight.
Backstage, Nash was showing Hall his license to be a manager.
Filthy Animal interview; Kidman defeated Norman Smiley to advance in the World Title Tournament.
-The Filthy Animals were all in the ring. Konan told the Revolution they were ready for them. Eddie told them that Torrie was home, and they lost the war. Dean Malenko with Asya entered. Malenko challenged Rey and Torrie to a match against him and Asya. Rey agreed to the match. Norman Smiley then entered with hockey gear on. Nasty Boy Knobbs and Jimmy Hart came down to do commentary for the match. Torrie laughed at Smiley throughout the match. Smiley quickly did the Big Wiggle. Kidman did a drop kick that sent Smiley out of the ring. Knobbs then attacked Smiley with a hockey stick, until he broke it over Smiley. Smiley was then sent back into the ring, and Kidman covered him for the pin and the victory.
Backstage, Sting was searching for Luger. David Flair was shown with a crowbar.
Sting interview.
-Sting called out Luger. Elizabeth entered. She apologized for Luger. Sting hugged Liz, and told Liz to call Luger out immediately. Luger entered. Luger apologized for his behavior, and asked Sting to forgive him. Luger said he loved Sting like a brother, and asked Sting for a hug. Sting grabbed Luger by the throat and warned him never to do anything like what he did last week again.
Backstage Kimberly is in her locker room. The lights go out and David Flair’s voice comes over the speakers. He told Kimberly not to worry.
Chris Benoit defeated Madusa by disqualification to advance in the Tournament.
-Madusa attempted a few wrestling moves on Benoit that he quickly got out of. He then hit her with a knife edge chop, which caused Madusa to collapse. Evan Karagias came out to help Madusa. He and the ref started to fight outside the ring. Jeff Jarrett then entered the ring, and started yelling at Benoit. Benoit and JJ began to go at it. Benoit was given the victory. JJ told Madusa that he just screwed her out of the tournament.
Backstage, Chavo Guerrero was talking to the Powers That Be. The Powers That Be gave Chavo an Amway pack and told Chavo to get out of his office.
Rick Steiner defeated Disco Inferno.
-Tony Marinara came to the ring area with a bucket of concrete. He said that Disco owed him money. Disco was sent out of the ring, and Rick Steiner nailed him with the bucket. Steiner then got the pin and took the belt. Marinara then chased Disco around the ring with the bucket of concrete.
Sting and Goldberg were shown backstage warming up.
Backstage, Nash was dressed as the Grand Wizard of wrestling. Hall told Nash he thought they should make up with Sid.
The Nitro Girl contestants were in the ring with Mean Gene. They do a routine. AC Jazz entered the ring. She told the contestants to leave the ring. She called the girls wanna bes and skanks. She said they couldn’t take her job. Spice entered. The two began to argue and fight. The rest of the Nitro Girls entered and tried to make peace.
Backstage, Kimberly was in the boilerroom trying to hide from David Flair.
Dustin Rhodes interview.
-A figure floated to the ring. (Dustin Runnels new character). Dustin said he left the WWF because of gimmicks such as this. He told the fans that the Powers that Be told him that Dustin sucks. He said his new name was Seven. He told them that they could take Seven and Golddust and shove it. He said they had disrespected him for the last time.
Backstage, Luger told Liz that he knew what to do to make it up to Sting.
Goldberg defeated Sting.
-Sting took early control with a headlock. Luger came down to ringside. He hit the ref and knocked him out. Sting had Goldberg in a headlock near the ropes. Luger and Liz had a bottle of mace and sprayed it in Sting’s eyes. Goldberg hit Sting with a spear and then the Jackhammer for the pin and the victory. Luger appeared upset that he had sprayed Sting instead of Goldberg.
Backstage, The Outsiders were with Sid. Nash, as the Wizard, told Sid that as a peace offering they would give him the two officers that were with them as protection from Goldberg.
Liz and Luger walked past Jim Duggan as he was mopping the floor. Luger stole the caution slippery when wet sign.
Backstage, Mike Tenay interviewed Vampiro with the Misfits. Vampiro told Tenay that being a misfit was a lifestyle.
Buff Bagwell defeated Vampiro with the Misfits to advance in the Tournament.
-The Misfits attacked Buff on his way to the ring, and allowed Vampiro to take early control. Buff tried to fight back, but hit the ref in the process. Berlyn made his way to the ring, and nailed Vampiro with a chain. Buff then hit a Chartbuster, and took the victory. Creative Control then made their way out, and attacked Berlyn.
Luger was shown in the back grabbing his knee, and claiming that it had been blown out.
Bret Hart defeated Saturn with the Revolution, to advance in the Tournament.
-Shane Douglas did commentary during the match. The match went back and forth early. Saturn went for the ankle. Saturn attempted various submission moves. Bret Hart began to favor his ankle. Bret went for the Sharpshooter, but Douglas entered and nailed Hart. Saturn then hit the DVD, but Hart kicked out of the pin. Malenko came out to interfere, but Benoit ran out for the save. Hart then applied the Sharpshooter and got the submission victory.
Kimberly was outside the Powers That Be’s office; she told Creative Control to let her in so she could do her business. Creative Control told her to wait her turn.
Booker T interview.
-It was announced that Stevie Ray was suspended for losing to Bagwell last week. Booker T called out Creative Control and JJ for a Harlem Street Fight. JJ went to the announcer’s table, while Creative Control entered the ring against Booker T. Booker T was able to fight off both members of Creative Control until JJ entered the ring. The three attacked Booker T. A large woman came in to save Booker, but was hit with a guitar shot from JJ. JJ and Creative Control then left.
Backstage, Mike Tenay informed Luger that the Powers That Be said that if he didn’t fight Sid tonight, he would be out of the Tournament. Luger asked Liz what she was going to do about that.
Malenko & Asya defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. & Torrie.
-While Rey and Malenko fought, Asya handcuffed Torrie to the turnbuckle. Malenko and Asya then double teamed Rey. Rey attempted a Bronco Buster on Asya, however, he missed and Malenko was able to apply the Texas Cloverleaf to get the submission victory. The Filthy Animals then run in to save Rey.
Sid was backstage with the security guards.
Kimberly was crying in one of the locker rooms, when David Flair approached and told her that this time she would get more than a spanking.
Sid Vicious with the riot squad and The Total Package with Elizabeth went to a No Contest.
-Luger approached the ring in a wheel chair. He apologized to Sid, but said he couldn’t wrestle tonight. Sting came up from behind, and wheeled Luger to the ring. Sid attacked Luger. Liz tried to shield Luger from Sid. Sid picked Liz up and moved her to the side, and attacked Luger again. Luger favored the knee throughout the match. Goldberg ran
in, and the Riot police that were there to protect Sid left. Goldberg attacked both Sid and Luger, and the ref called for the bell.
Brian Knobs with Jimmy Hart defeated Bam Bam Bigelow in a Hardcore Match to become the number one contender for the Hardcore belt.
-Norman Smiley did commentary throughout the match. The match was fought through the crowd, with Smiley following it to do commentary. Kimberly approaches Bam Bam and he follows her. The ref disqualified Bigelow, and gave Knobs the victory.
Backstage, Bam Bam and Kimberly were looking for David Flair.
Scott Hall with Nash and the Riot Squad defeated Lash Leroux.
-Scott Hall took early control with his power. Leroux attempted a few moves, but Hall had control throughout, and hit an Outsider’s Edge for the victory. Nash and Hall surround themselves with the riot squad. When they were ready to leave, they told the riot squad to leave the ring. When one wouldn’t leave, Nash took some powder and was about to throw it in his face. The riot guard turned out to be Goldberg. He speared both Hall and Nash.
Jeff Jarrett defeated Curt Hennig to advance in the Tournament.
-Creative Control looked in on the match. The ref was knocked out, as Hennig applied the Hennigplex. Creative Control entered for the save. Creative Control threw Hennig through the announcer’s table. The ref got back up and counted Hennig out to allow JJ to get the victory.
Kimberly interview.
Kimberly said she was finished running from David Flair and called him out. David Flair entered. As he walked to the ring, Bam Bam Bigelow attacked him from behind. Flair was able to hit Bam Bam with a low blow, however, and then attacked Bam Bam with his crowbar. Flair then went after Kimberly, who ran out of the ring and escaped through the crowd.
Kimberly is trying to get in her car, when Flair approached. She got in the car, but Flair smashed all of the windows of the car. Creative Control entered. They told Flair to leave and then told Kimberly that the Powers That Be were ready to see her now.
Scott Hall defeated Bret Hart, Sid Vicious, and Goldberg in a Texas Tornado Ladder match to win the US Title.
-The four men went at it without a ref. Kevin Nash approached with the ladder. He was the special guest referee. During the match, it was announced that Kimberly and David Flair would have a match at Mayhem. Rick Steiner approached the ring. He nailed a Bulldog from the top rope on Sid. Nash then hit Goldberg with a kick. He then grabbed a bat and nailed Hart as he was climbing the ladder. Hall then got to the ladder and took the belt from Nash, and gained the victory.
