• Backstage, Goldberg arrived, while Sid Vicious stalked him and found out Goldberg's parking number. • Dean Malenko defeated Rey Mysterio, Jr. with the Texas Cloverleaf submission.
- Tony Schiavone said Rey Mysterio, Jr. was the only Filthy Animal in the building (although Kidman would appear later on). During the match, Schiavone also said Psychosis won the Cruiserweight Title, and would defend it later in the show against Disco Inferno (in other words, it was given to him because Lenny and Lodi are out indefinitely). In the match, Mysterio used aerial maneuvers, while Malenko used submission holds with his technical style. At one point, after Mysterio went for a springboard huracanrana, Malenko caught him with the Texas Cloverleaf submission, but Mysterio pulled himself to the ropes. Later, after Malenko was kicked to the outside, Shane Douglas ran in, nailed the referee from behind, and then clocked Mysterio with a chain around his knuckles. Perry Saturn ran in, upset with Douglas. He looked as if he was going to nail Douglas with the chain, but Saturn ended up hitting Mysterio. Douglas and Saturn laughed. Douglas called the referee back in the ring, while Malenko, not realizing what just happened, finished off a beaten Mysterio with the Texas Cloverleaf. Malenko later saw the replay and was not too pleased. Malenko helped up and raised Mysterio's hands.

• On tonight's show, Bret Hart and Chris Benoit would go one-on-one, in a match dedicated to the late Owen Hart. The match would take place in Kansas City's Kemper Arena, the place where Owen tragically fell to his death.

- Before the match, Tony Schiavone announced that Vince Russo and Ed Ferrera had been signed to WCW's creative team. They would both do a chat on Tuesday. Check WCW.COM for details. Psychosis dominated with his awesome, high-flying maneuvers. However, after he missed the Guillotine Legdrop, Disco Inferno hit the Last Dance for the win.

Both sat in their front row seats next to two beautiful women, with their own tickets. Bobby Heenan then asked both superstars what they were doing in the Kemper Arena. Ray said they took out The Outsiders a long time ago. Knobs and Morrus, along with Jimmy Hart, then attacked them from behind. Both teams brawled down the aisle and to the ring.
