  • Sting shown tearing up backstage area looking for JJ Dillon.

  • Sting interview.
    -Sting comes out without his make-up. He has a message for JJ Dillon. JJ Dillon enters. Said his match against Goldberg at Halloween Havoc was not for the title. Sting wanted his title back. JJ agreed that Goldberg was not the champion, but he said that Sting was being stripped of a title. JJ announced a 32-man tournament for the title. Sting attacks JJ Dillon. Goldberg enters, he and Sting fight until broken up by security.

  • Outsiders shown arriving. They are told they have to wrestle tonight.

  • Norman Smiley interview.
    -He says he’s tougher than a two-dollar steak and would defeat Bam Bam Bigelow tonight.

  • Norman Smiley defeats Bam Bam Bigelow to advance in the World Title Tournament.
    -Bam Bam brings out weapons and challenges Smiley to a Hardcore match. Smiley tries to use the ref as a guard. Bam Bam takes the early advantage with a broomstick. Norman fell on Bam Bam with a trash can over his head and got the pin. Not much of a match.

  • Outsiders interviewed by Mike Tenay in the back. They say they are retired and don’t fight anymore.

  • Filthy Animals w/ Torrie interview.
    -Eddie Guerrero says that even though Konnan and Kidman are booked against each other tonight, the Filthy Animals will never be broken up. Video is then shown of the Filthy Animals burying Ric Flair in the desert outside Las Vegas after Halloween Havoc. Kidman says Harlem Heat is next. Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn run in and attack the Filthy Animals. Asia and Shane Douglas take Torrie.

  • Curt Hennig interviewed backstage. Says if he was told if he is beaten then he would be fired.

  • Outsiders shown in the back.

  • Lash Leroux defeats Curt Hennig by disqualification.
    -Disco Inferno does commentary during the match. Says Lash was tougher than he thought at Halloween Havoc. Hennig hits ref and is disqualified, therefore he did not have his shoulders pinned and would not have to leave WCW. Disco takes offense to Hennig’s actions and goes to the ring, but is hit with a chair by Hennig.

  • Backstage, the Filthy Animals search for Torrie.

  • Bret Hart shown arriving, he is limping. Goldberg is shown backstage.

  • Nitro Girl Search.
    -Kimberly and Fyre introduce the finalists. Lauren and Danielle. Jeff Jarrett enters. He tells all the Nitro Girls to leave. He says he is the chosen one, and will be the next World Champion. He tells Lex Luger to apologize to him.

  • Saturn defeats Eddie Guerrero to advance in Tournament.
    -Saturn tells the Filthy Animals if they don’t leave then Torrie gets it. Saturn calls them “jabronis” , which is met by derisive boos. Guerrero begins with his ribs wrapped. David Flair comes out and hits Eddie Guerrero with a crowbar. Saturn takes advantage and applies the Rings of Saturn for the victory.

  • Nash and Hall shown backstage and say they have a plan. They say if there is no show then there is no match.

  • Torrie shown backstage as hostage of the Revolution. Dean Malenko leaves and says he’ll be right back. He is attacked by Chris Benoit.

  • Outsider interview.
    -Phoenix is Nash’s hometown. They say that nobody tells them what to do. Goldberg is shown in the crowd. Tells the Outsiders that they are next.

  • Macho Man with Gorgeous George interview.
    -Macho returns. He says he has someone that will lead wrestling into the next century that he will pass the torch to. Never says who it was.

  • Filthy Animals shown again looking for Torrie.

  • Meng defeats Madusa to advance in the Tournament.
    Meng doesn’t hit Madusa much. She tries a few moves. Meng quickly applies the Tongan Death Grip. Evan Courageous comes out to help Madusa.

  • Dean Malenko comes to the ring and calls out Benoit for a last man standing match.

  • Curt Hennig and Brad Armstrong shown discussing the new bosses. Bret Hart shown backstage with a swollen ankle.

  • The Total Package with Elizabeth defeats Rick Steiner to advance in tournament.
    -Luger flexes a little. Luger took the early advantage. Jeff Jarrett comes to the ring announce table and says he wants an apology from Luger for accusing him of attacking Elizabeth. Jarrett mistakenly hits Rick Steiner who follows Jarrett to the back and is counted out. Luger takes the victory. Elizabeth is upset with Luger for not helping her up.

  • The Filthy Animals say that Torrie had better not be hurt. Buff is shown arriving.

  • Kidman defeats Konnan to advance in the Tournament.
    -Konnan and Kidman begin to fight because of the stakes. Kidman inadvertently hits the ref, and Harlem Heat comes in and attacks both Filthy Animals. Kidman gets up first and takes the victory. Kidman and Konnan start to fight, but Eddie Guerrero points out that they are family. Konnan agrees and challenges Harlem Heat to a title match tonight.

  • Buff Bagwell interview.
    -Buff says he came to break all the rules. He says if you mess with Buff then you get the stuff. Enforcers for the new regime (formerly DOA in the WWF) come to the ring, and attack Buff.

  • Chris Benoit defeats Dean Malenko in a last man standing match.
    -Good match that went both ways. Benoit barely beat the 10 count for the victory. The Filthy Animals attack Malenko after the Bell. The Revolution appear with Torrie. They say if the Filthy Animals touch Malenko again, Torrie gets it. The Revolution leaves with the Filthy Animals chasing.

  • The Revolution shown leaving in a car with Torrie. Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero chase after them, while Kidman and Konnan stay to get the tag title belts back.

  • Sting with his makeup back defeats Brian Knobbs to advance in the Tournament.
    -Sting enters, hits Knobbs with a bat and pins him.

  • Bret Hart interviewed backstage. Says despite his hairline fracture, he will still fight Golberg tonight.

  • The Filthy Animals defeat Harlem Heat to win the WCW Tag Titles.
    -Good match. Stevie Ray suplexed Kidman and took the apparent 3 count, however, Kidman bridged up at two, while Stevie Ray’s shoulders were on the mat for the three count, thereby giving the victory the Konnan and Kidman of the Filthy Animals.

  • Goldberg interviewed backstage. Says Bret Hart is more dangerous since he is injured. Also says that he doesn’t make threats, that the Outsiders are next.

  • DDP defeats David Flair by disqualification to advance in the Tournament.
    -Kimberly introduces DDP. DDP says like Ric Flair, you’ll never forget him. Calls out David Flair. David Flair enters to Ric’s music and has the robe on, but he has on jeans. He has a crowbar in his jeans and attacks DDP with it. Kimberly gets on top of DDP to save him. David Flair leaves. The paramedics come to help DDP.

  • DDP shown leaving in an ambulance.

  • Three ladies who could have come out with the Godfather defeat the Outsiders.
    Outsiders enter. The “powers to be” muscle come out and bring out three ladies to fight the Outsiders. Hall allows one of the ladies to put him in a side headlock. Nash then enters and wants the lady with the unbelievably, and I mean unbelievably, large chest to come in the ring. She says she will take off her top if they let her team win. They lay down and the two other girls pin both Outsiders. While the Outsiders are looking at the ladies, Goldberg enters and spears both of them.

  • Bret Hart defeats Goldberg to advance in the Tournament and win the US Title.
    -Hart is injured throughout the match. Goldberg takes the early advantage. Both men fight a clean match, and break each time the ref tells them to. Goldberg dominates the match. He attacks Hart’s leg repeatedly, but Hart doesn’t give up. Hart kicks Goldberg and gets him in a sleeper hold. The ref is knocked out when Goldberg breaks the hold. The Outsiders and Sid Vicious enter and attack Goldberg together while Hart is on the floor. Hart re-enters the ring and gets the pin and the victory.
