Big Vito and Johnny "The Bull" vs Disco Inferno and Lash LeRoux
-Vito and The Bull were accompanied by Tony Marinara. All four men start the match off with a brawl in the ring. Vito and LeRoux see action first, with Vito controlling most of the pace. Johnny the Bull tags in and LeRoux mounts an offence, taking down Johnny and tagging in Disco. Tony Marinara and Disco almost get into it outside the ring a few times, with Marinara enticing Disco to do something. Ultimately, Marinara distracts Disco long enough for Johnny to gain an advantage and tag in Big Vito. Vito and The Bull double team Disco for some time, and ends with a powerful double bodyslam maneuver. Vito goes for a high risk move on the top rope, but misses. Disco gets up and tags in after absorbing a ton of punishment. Lash gets in the ring and takes out both Mafia members single handedly, and Disco regained his strength to join him. Disco hit a frog splash on the Bull, and had the win until Vito launched off the top rope with a move of his own. Disco was stunned and hit the Last Dance on LeRoux by accident, which allowed Vito and The Bull to win the match. After the match, Tony Marinara put Disco in a body bag.

Chris Benoit comes to the ring, with the US title in hand. Benoit has been given the belt since Scott Hall's injury prevents him from defending the title tonight. Benoit says that because Scott Hall is unable to wrestle, he forfits the US tite, and that makes him the new champion. Benoit says in his opinion, titles aren't to be given, but to be on. He came to Starrcade tonight to kick ass, and there would be a ladder match. Benoit issued an open challenge to anyone for a ladder match later in the evening.

CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE
Evan Karagias (c) vs Madusa
-Madusa jumps over the top rope to attack Karagias, who came to ringside with Spice. Karagias got things together on the outside and attacked Madusa in the ring, but Madusa held her own. Karagias missed a springboard from the top rope, but nailed a powerbomb. Evan got a two count, and Madusa was sent to the mat again with a reverse neckbreaker. Spice got on the ring apron and distracted Karagias, allowing Madusa to low blow Karagias, Spice hit a second low blow, and Madusa won the Cruiserweight title! Afterwards, Spice and Madusa walk to the back together.

HARDCORE TITLE
Norman Smiley vs Meng
-In a pre-match interview, Smiley acts scared at the slightest thing. Smiley comes to the ring with a cart full of weapons, and in a football uniform. He and Meng exchange a throwing of weapons session before the match starts, and Meng goes to the outside and shoves the cart to knock Smiley down. Trashcan shots galore to Smiley, who stumbles all the way up the aisle way. Backstage, Smiley hits Meng with a chair and throws him into some set pieces. This didn’t phase Meng at all, who came right back with more trashcan shots. In the catering area, both men destroy everything in sight. Food and flowers are thrown everywhere. Smiley releases a fire extinguisher into Meng’s face, and Fit Finlay jumps out and attacks Meng. Brian Knobs also comes out and attacks Meng, but is dismantled with trashcans. Tongan death grip on Knobs and Finlay attacks with a chair. Knobs attacks with a chair also, but it still didn’t take out Meng. Meng retaliates until a pipe is bet over Meng’s head! Smiley comes out from his hiding spot(under a table), and covers Meng for the win.

The Revolution vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Three Mystery Partners
-Duggan reveals the mystery partner to be Mike Rotunda, Rick Steiner, and Kevin Sullivan. They were accompanied by the one, the only, Kimona! The stipulation for the match is that if Hacksaw’s team wins, the Revolution has to take janitorial duties for 30 days. Hacksaw takes down Malenko from the Revolution early, and had the crowd solidly behind him. Youth finally kicks in and Duggan’s non-tag style is taken down. Saturn beats up on Duggan until he misses a high risk move, and Duggan continued to ignore his partners. The offence from Duggan didn’t last long, and Saturn had him looking at the lights again. Finally the rest of Hacksaw’s team has enough of watching him get his ass kicked, and jump in. Sullivan puts the tree of woe on Asya, and TURN ON DUGGAN! Sullivan, Steiner, and Rotunda turn on Hacksaw and attack him! Douglas runs in the ring and pins Hacksaw, winning the match for the Revolution. As part of the stipulation, Hacksaw has to denounce the United States, and it will happen on Nitro!

"Dr. Death" Steve WIlliams vs Vampiro
-The Misfits lock Oklahoma in a shark cage so he can’t run away. Remember, if Vampiro wins, he gets five minutes alone with Oklahoma. Oklahoma is brought down to ringside, and calls play-by-play in the cage. Vampiro gets on top of the shark cage, and launches into Steve Williams. Vamp goes for a pedigree type move on the outside, but Dr. Death back body drops Vampiro. In the ring, Vamprio comes back in the match with left and right hands. Williams and Vampiro exchange a series of chops, and Oklahoma shakes the cage yelling "CHOP! CHOP! CHOP!" Dr. Death hits a three point stance move, taking out Vampiro’s knee. Both men go to the top rope and exchange shots, and Williams hits a hard suplex from the top. Jerry Only gets in the ring, and is thrown right back out by Williams. More of the Misfits get in the ring, and all are taken down by Dr. Death. He can’t handle Vamprio, who takes him down. Dr. Death ends up getting himself disqualified after he knocks down the referee. As a result, Vampiro gets five minutes with Oklahoma. However, Vamp is down and Oklahoma says he can take him. Event staff come out and separate Williams from Vampiro, but don’t unlock Oklahoma. Doug Dillinger comes out and lets Oklahoma out, just as Vampiro starts to get up. Oklahoma DDT’s Vampiro, and does the "Oklahoma stomp." Vamprio gets up and punches Oklahoma, but is taken down with another kick. Vamp hits a Rock Bottom on OK and the Misfits attack. Vamp puts on OK’s hat and continues the beating.

SIX MAN TAG TEAM #1 CONTENDER MATCH
Creative Control and Curt Hennig vs Harlem Heat and Midnight
-Winners become #1 contenders to the tag titles. Before the match, Stevie Ray tells Booker T that he won’t watch his back tonight. He says it is because of Midnight. Stevie Ray doesn’t come out for the match. Creative control takes it to Booker T, double teaming early. Midnight is tagged in, and fights Control off Booker T. Hennig jumps in and continues the pounding of Booker T. Midnight is tagged in and takes down Shane, who is at ringside, but is manhandled by Hennig. Stevie Ray comes down to ringside, wanting to help out, but Booker T sends him to the back. He says that he needs no help. Stevie Ray stays out instead of going back, and distracts the referee while Booker kicks some ass. Hennig comes in the ring with some brass knuckles and hits Booker T, allowing Creative Control to win the match and become #1 contenders. After, Stevie Ray walks away from Booker and Midnight.

BUNKHOUSE BRAWL
Jeff Jarrett vs Dustin Rhodes
-As Rhodes is getting interviewed, Jarrett attacks and starts the match. They fight into the actual arena itself, in the entrance way. Jarrett pulls a wheelbarrow full of sticks and a guitar to use. Dustin is tossed into the wheelbarrow and rammed into the safety rail. Rhodes stops the punishment long enough to go to the ring with a couple 2 X 4’s, and slaps Jarrett with the wood. A cowbell is brought into the mix, and Rhodes beats Jarrett with it. Dustin beats Jarrett with the rope and bell all the way to the outside, on top of the announcers table. Back in the ring, Rhodes pulls out a bottle and throws powder in Jarrett’s eyes. A roll of duct tape is the next weapon, and Rhodes pulls off his belt and whips the referee. He ties the ref to the ropes with duct tape. The ref screams, and tape is put across his mouth. Jarrett has "chaps" on his pants, and Dustin takes them off and beats him with it. Jarrett gets in a low blow, and out comes Curt Hennig. Hennig untapes the referee while Jarrett wreaks havoc on Rhodes. Jarrett slaps on a sleeper hold, but Dustin fights out. Jarrett locks on the sleeper again, but gets out quickly. Both men go down. Both men get up, and Rhodes takes the advantage. Hennig distracts Rhodes, punches him from behind, and Jarrett almost wins after a close two count. Dustin gets up and sets up Jarrett for the "Shattered Dreams", and hits it right on! The ref starts to count, and Hennig pulls him out. Dustin then attacks Hennig, and puts the Shattered Dreams on him. Jarrett is able to get back up and sends Rhodes to the outside. They brawl to the entrance way, where Jarrett climbs a ladder and smashes Rhodes with a guitar. Jarrett wins after the shot.

CROWBAR ON A POLE MATCH
David Flair vs Diamond Dallas Page
-DDP is attacked from behind by Flair with a gold plated crowbar! DDP fell to the outside while David circles the ring. The referee determines that the match cannot go on, and declared the winner by forfeit, David Flair. Page gets mad and clobbers the announcer, and the match continues. David cups his hands over his head like he is hearing voices. Flair attacks DDP when the bell rings, and hits some good moves. Flair wrestles a really good match, better than his past efforts. He hits a few DDT moves on Page, and counters a sunset flip to get a two count. Flair starts to get frustrated that he hasn’t won the match yet, and makes a few mistakes, allowing DDP to recover. Flair puts the figure four on Page, but Page reverses it. Flair gets to the ropes, and breaks the hold. David climbs the ropes and gets the crowbar, but when he comes down, he finds a Diamond Cutter. Page pins Flair for the win. After the match, DDP gives Flair another Diamond Cutter, and goes to hit him with the crowbar. David’s girl runs in the ring and stops DDP from hitting David with the crowbar.

Sting vs The Total Package
-If Sting wins, Miss Elizabeth is out of her contract with Luger. Backstage, Sting hands Elizabeth a "super high octane" can of mace, and says she will use this kind tonight. Luger attacks Sting as soon as he hits the ring, and leaves him laying. He throws him on the outside where he slams Sting’s head into the ring apron, and into the security rail. Back in the ring, Luger continued the attack with kicks to the midsection and elbow smashes to the face. Luger taunts Elizabeth, and she steps up to the ring. She distracts Luger, which allows Sting to slap Luger and dropkick him. A double clothesline knocks both men down. Liz gets in the ring with the mace, and sprays it in Sting’s face…but it is SILLY STRING! Sting knew not to trust Elizabeth! Sting sends Liz out of the ring and attacks Luger, hitting an atomic drop and a big splash. A couple stinger splashes, and Sting goes for the death lock. Liz comes in the ring with Sting’s bat. Sting takes the bat, throws it down, and puts on the lock. Liz takes the bat and HAMMERS Sting in the face! A HARD shot! The bell rings, and Sting’s arm is put in the chair. Luger stomps up and down on it, and hits it with the bat. Some really hard shots.

POWER BOMB MATCH
Kevin Nash vs Sid Vicious
-Both men lock up, but not before Nash tells Sid where to go. Nash backs Sid into a corner, hitting him with numerous elbows. Sid fights back with a kick to the midsection, goes for the powerbomb, but is it with a low blow. Sid gets busted open early, with a cut on his back. On the outside, Sid hits Nash in the back with a chair. Back in the ring, Sid has his way with Nash. Sid calls for the powerbomb, but Nash gets up. He is slung into the referee, who goes down. Sid powerbombs Nash, but the referee doesn’t see. Out comes Jarrett, who bashes Sid with a guitar! Nash gets up, and tells the referee he powerbombed Sid. The referee believed him, and declared the match over.

LADDER MATCH
Chris Benoit vs Jeff Jarrett
-Jarrett says he’s already kicked one ass tonight, why not make it two. Jarrett and Benoit start the match in the aisleway, and battle to the ring. Benoit hits an excellent superplex from the top rope on Jarrett. Benoit leaves the ring and goes to get the ladder. The ladder is set on the apron of the ring, and Jarrett slides it into Benoit’s face. Benoit is then catapulted into the ladder, and thrown back in the ring. Jarrett sets the ladder up in a corner, but Jarrett is the one tossed into it. Benoit gets busted open and bleeds heavily from his eye. Jarrett sent Benoit into the corner, who caught on the ladder. Jarrett tips over the ladder, with Benoit on it! Jarrett set up the ladder, but Benoit stopped him from getting the belt. Benoit tied Jarrett to the ladder, and he started climbing. Jarrett shook the ladder, and both men fell! Both men get up at the same time and set up the ladder, each climbing up different sides. They have a punching contest at the top, and Benoit falls off. Chris then hits the ladder, knocking down Jarrett. By this time, Chris was bleeding terribly. Jarrett climbs the ladder again, but is knocked off, straddling the top rope! Benoit climbs for the belt, Jarrett goes to the top rope….Jarrett goes off and dropkicks the ladder!!! Benoit went flying into the air and straight into the ring! Both men get up and exchange blows again, with Benoit getting the advantage. Up the ladder goes Benoit, and hits a swan dive from the top of the ladder! Benoit gets the belt next climb up and becomes the US champion!

WORLD TITLE - NO DISQUALIFICATION
Bret Hart (c) vs Goldberg
-Both men begin with a stare down, and a handshake. The first lockup takes Hart to a corner with a clean break. Goldberg clearly overpowers Hart, taking him down with various slams the first few minutes. The most impressive was a gorilla press slam. Goldberg followed up with a lariat, and kept Bret on his back. Goldberg tired an ankle lock submission, but Hart got into the ropes. Bret takes the match outside the ring, and throws Goldberg into the safety rail. The referee got in the way, and was knocked out. A second ref ran down and took over the match. Goldberg got in the ring and followed up with a boot to the head. It wasn’t long before the second ref was out. Goldberg went for a spear, but caught the ringpost! Bret pulled him and put the figure four on Goldberg, with his legs around the legpost. A third ref came out, and broke up the hold. Both men were down on the outside. Crowd chants "Goldberg, Goldberg…" Hart gets up first, and tosses Bill into the ring. He works over the leg, in obvious preparation for the Sharpshooter. Bret continued to work over Goldberg with leg holds, most notably with the figure four. Goldberg turned the hold over, and Hart found the ropes to release the hold. Bill punches Hart, but that did nothing. Hart laid in punches and worked over the leg more on the ropes. Goldberg fights back with a chokehold, and punches to the midsection. The referee distracts him, and Goldberg takes him out. He then gave Bret a sidekick, and no referee was out. He set up for a spear, and nailed it! SPEAR! Goldberg’s head was busted. Still no referee! Roddy Piper comes out! Hart gets up and takes out Goldberg’s legs! Sharpshooter! Piper calls for the bell! He takes the WCW title to the back, with Hart following. The announcers mention "Montreal all over again…" Hart stops Piper, and Piper hands him the belt. The show goes off the air with Goldberg looking angry and Hart standing in shock with the belt.
