Opening
We opened up with a video package recapping the words and actions exchanged between Goldberg and Sid setting the stage for the main event here tonight. We then took a look at the Sting vs. Hogan ordeal leaving us to wonder if Hogan will show here tonight.

Schiavone informed us that Rey Mysterio Jr. has had an injury and WCW execs have stripped Konan and Rey of the tag titles and we will have a six man match between Harlem Heat, the First Family, and Konan and Kidman. Last man standing wins.

Match 1:Cruiserweight Title Match
-Disco Inferno(c) vs. Lash LaReux
-Disco took it to Lash early on and took the early advantage. Lash then used his agility to go up top and take Disco down. A series of pinfalls were attempted by Lash all resulting in a two count. Disco caught Lash off the top with an elbow to the head. Lash then sent Disco to the outside and followed up sending Disco into the steel around the ringside area. Back inside the ring they went and Lash continued to score nearfalls. Lash then slapped on a reverse chinlock to try and wear Disco down.

Disco missed with a Last Dance and Lash landed a hard backbreaker taking Disco down. Lash went for a Fireman's carry pick up but Disco slipped out and dropped Lash with a Swinging Neckbreaker and got a two count. Disco then hit a Russian Legsweep and went up to the second rope and dropped a double axehandle elbow but only got a two count again. Disco looked frustrated and hit a piledriver laying Lash out. He wasted too much time and Lash was able to kick out. Lash then fought back and hit a short powerbomb and nearly won the match. Disco then took over from there by reversing a move by Lash then landing the Last Dance and got the three count for the win. Nice opening match.
-Winner:Disco Inferno by pinfall and still CW Champ

Lash was infuriated and post-match landed a Short Powerbomb on the Disco on the CW Title.

From earlier today, we saw Saturn confront Malenko and Benoit. B and M then told Saturn to take the Revolution to stick it up their ass. Strong words.

Tenay then interviewed Harlem Heat about the three way tag title match. Stevie and Booker told Kidman, Konan, Knobbs, and Hugh Morrus that they were gonna take them out here tonight.

Match 2:Tag Team Title Match
-Harlem Heat vs. Brian Knobbs/Hugh Morrus w/Jimmy Hart vs. Kidman/Konan
-Street Fight Rules: Falls Count Anywhere, All six men are legal
There were two referees for this wild and wooly action packed match-up. To the stands they went where Booker took it Knobbs on the front row. Knobbs then picked up a chair and put it to the head of Booker T. Weapons of all sorts were thrown into the ring early on. Kidman was run over by Hugh and the Kidman was greatly oversized in this weapons match. Kidman leaped off the top onto Hugh. A casket from the Havoc set came into play. Booker accidentally kicked Stevie and to the back the action went. In the ring, Knobbs DDT'ed someone and then went for the table. Hugh went for a No Laughing Matter on Konan through a table. In the back, Booker T. pinned Brian Knobbs while Hugh Morrus pinned Konan in the ring.

The referees discussed who got the first pin while Harlem heat celebrated thinking they won the titles. The refs conferred and Harlem heat was awarded the tag titles. Nice street fight match.
-Winners:Harlem Heat by pinfall and new Tag Champs

We saw Ric Flair and David Flair walking in the back with a crowbar.

DDP and Kimberly came to the ring and Kim was looking good as always. Kim said that Ric Flair spanked her 14 times, but when DDP does it, it's a good thing, and when Ric does it, it's a bad thing. DDP then said that he loves Kim and hates Ric. DDP then told us that Kim swerved David. DDP told Flair he had his spank right here and pointed to the spot we all know. DDP then challenged Flair to a strap match here tonight.

We saw Goldberg walking around the back looking for Sid.

Match 3:Eddy Guerrero vs. Saturn
-Filthy Animals banned from ringside
Started off quick and fast with some high flying off the ropes action. To the outside they went where Eddy went into the safety rail and Saturn picked up the ring steps and slammed Eddy wrist first into the steps. Back in the ring, Saturn powerbombed Eddy and scored a two count. Saturn applied a cross arm breaker to try and make Eddy tap out.

Saturn sent Eddy into the corner but Eddy landed a hard right on Saturn and took him down once again. Saturn ducked a wild elbow and then proceeded to T-Bone Suplex Eddy on his neck. Eddy then poked Saturn in the eye and then went to work on Saturn. Saturn then came back with a fall away slam followed by a splash from up top, but only got a two. Eddy fought back and climbed up top and tried his finisher: the Frog Splash but Saturn rolled out of the way and both men tried to get back up. Saturn then tried a springboard move onto Eddy but Eddy dropped Saturn in mid-air with a dropkick to the midsection. Saturn perched Eddy up top and climbed up and dropped Eddy crotch first on the top turnbuckle. Saturn took Eddy back up and landed a hard back body drop.

Back up they went and Eddy was able to dropkick Saturn off the top rope. Ric Flair then stomped to the ring with a crowbar in hand. The ref then threw the match out as Flair beat down on both men with the crowbar. Kidman then ran to the ring and got laid out by Flair. Torri then ran to the ring and Flair decided not to hit Torri with the crowbar but instead kissed her. Torri seemed to like it as Ric walked off to the back. Could David be jealous of pops now?
-Winner:No Contest

In the back, we saw Sid getting beat down by Goldberg. Sid was busted open.

Buff Bagwell came to the ring and called out Jeff Jarrett and said he would take his foot and stick it straight up Buff's hillbilly ass.

Jarrett then came to the ring with a guitar in hand and took it to Buff. To the outside the battle went. Back in the ring they went and Buff went for 10 shots up top but Jarrett knocked back down to the ring. The Total Package came to the ring with Liz and tried to smack Jarrett with the guitar but missed and hit Bagwell instead. Jarrett ran off to the back.

In the back, Sid was telling the doctors to not stich him up, but let him bleed.

Match 4:Berlyn w/bodyguard vs. Brad Armstrong
Slow paced match up. The match belonged on Saturday Night, not at a PPV. The fans chanted "USA" to try and distract Berlyn. Berlyn then landed a series of rapid fire kicks to the body of BA. Berlyn attempted a series of pins, but didn't get a three. Berlyn tried his neckbreaker, but BA slipped out and dropped Berlyn and covered him for the three count!

The bodyguard then came in and laid out BA with one quick blow and then both men stomped away on BA leaving him for dead.
-Winner:Brad Armstrong by pinfall

Tenay was in the back to interview Ric Flair. Flair told the Filthy Animals that he would be here all night long and on Nitro if they wanted a piece of him. Flair then told DDP that Kim enjoyed the spanking she got and told him how great he was.

Match 5:Television Title Match
-Chris Benoit(c) vs. Rick Steiner
Rick dropped down to the outside to try and play around with Benoit's thinking. Benoit looked good coming off his tour of Japan. Rick connected with a series of power moves including his Steinerline and punches telling Benoit to bite him a lot. Up top they went and Benoit landed a Superplex and both men fell to the ring hard. Benoit tried to slap on the Crippler Crossface, but Rick slipped out to the outside quickly. Benoit then knocked Rick into the guardrail from inside the ring.

Benoit then followed up on the outside racking Steiner into the guardrail. Back in the ring, Benoit continued his assault on Steiner. With the ref not looking, Rick landed a swift kick right to the groin. Fittingly, this being Sunday, a field goal was made for three points. Rick then tried to work over the groin with a submission hold. Steiner then tossed Benoit over his head with a release German Suplex and Benoit landed hard on his neck. Rick then hit a release German suplex once again. Rick then hit another. Three Release German Suplexes right in a row. Benoit looked to be out of it.

Out of desperation, Benoit was able to hit a DDT when Rick missed with a Steiner Line. Benoit then shoulder tackled Rick hard to the mat. Benoit then hit a German Suplex and hit two more on his Rolling German Suplex Threesome. Benoit only got a two count out of that. Benoit then tried to hit rick with an elbow, but Rick shoved the ref into the elbow knocking the ref out. Rick dropped Benoit. Rick then went for the chair and missed Benoit and Benoit T-boned him. Benoit then dropped Rick onto the chair and went up top, and Rick was able to smack Benoit in the head with the chair. Malenko then ran to the ring and picked up the chair. Malenko then laid out Benoit with the chair!!! Malenko then put Steiner on top of Benoit and revived the ref! The ref counted for the three count giving Steiner the win and the TV Title.
-Winner:Rick Steiner by pinfall and new TV Champ

Bret Hart was in the back with Mike Tenay. Tenay told us that Hart's ankle was injured by Luger on Nitro. Hart said it didn't matter if he was injured, he would excellently execute Luger.

Match 6:The Total Package w/Miss Elizabeth vs. Bret Hart
Hart instantly took the fight to Luger on the outside. Near Heenan and Schiavone they went with hart using the table to work over Luger. Hart then headbutted Luger hard and sent him back into the ring. Shortly thereafter, Hart took him back to the outside. Liz tried to help Luger out, but Hart was not distracted by Liz and continued his assault on Luger. Luger had no offense whatsoever thus far.

Hart sent Luger back into the ring and worked on the torso of Luger. Hart with a Russian Legsweep followed by a pin attempt resulting in a two count. Hart then went for the Sharpshooter, but Luger gouged the eyes breaking the hold. Luger tried a hip toss but both men fell to the ring at the same time just like at the Royal Rumble in 93 or 94 as we all remember all so well. Hart was in serious pain as a result of going over the top. Back in the ring they went where Luger sinched in a half crab working the lower leg of Hart. Hart couldn't take the pain accumulated from all the beatings he's taken in the past week to that leg and tapped out. Luger and Liz celebrated the win.
-Winner:The Total Package by submission

Goldberg told Mike Tenay we would sever Sid's head from his body later tonight.

Madusa came out and modeled the new Nitro cologne. Heenan was completely dissing the cologne the whole time and then Madusa told us it was bullcrap and threw the cologne on Heenan.

The World Title match was scheduled next between Sting and Hogan. Hogan's music was on for a good minute but Hogan didn't come through the curtain. No one could make heads or tails about where Hogan was. After that minute, Sting's music came on and out came the World Champ. Hogan's music came on once again, but still no Hogan. Alright, maybe it's not a work, maybe Hogan's gone...well maybe not. Hogan came to the ring after a long delay without any Hulkamania type entrance, no ripping of the shirt, no nothing.

Match 7:World Title Match
-Sting(c) vs. Hulk Hogan
Hogan came in and laid down for Sting and Sting covered Hogan for the three count to retain the World Title.
-Winner:Sting by pinfall

What the hell was that? The fans then booed like hell and hell, I would have too.

Match 8:United States Title Match
-Sid(c) vs. Goldberg
Um...I thought this was the main event...but we still have Flair vs. DDP. Ok?...After about a 10 minute entrance, Goldberg came to the ring. Hall and Nash then snuck attacked Goldberg in the entrance way and beat him down. Sid waited in the ring then went to the outside to continue the job the Outsiders started. Goldberg fought off Sid and laid into Sid with big right hands. Sid urged Goldberg to give him some more taunting the one loss monster.

Sid was busted one wide and I mean wide open by Goldberg. Sid then tried to fight Goldberg with whatever energy he had left. In the ring they went where Sid dropped Goldberg with a big boot. The fans chanted "Goldberg." Goldberg then came back out of a camel clutch and powered Sid up and down to the mat with a slam. Sid then fought Goldberg on his knees with blood in his eyes. Both men delivered hard rights to each other. Neither man would give into each other. When one went down he popped right back up. Goldberg then dropped Sid once again with a big right hand and Sid was covered in blood and the ref called for the bell awarding Goldberg the match because of too much blood.
-Winner:Goldberg by excessive blood loss and new US Champ

Rick Steiner then ran to the ring to check on Sid. Sid would not stay down and did not give it up. Goldberg stared down at Sid as he walked away with the US Title.

Sting came to the ring and said he came to Las Vegas for fight and called out anyone in the back. Sting said later tonight, he would come back to the ring and wait for anybody to come down because it's Showtime.

Match 9:Diamond Dallas Page w/Kimberly vs. Ric Flair
-Strap Match
Both men were tied together by the strap at the wrist and Schiavone informed us that you win by pinfall or submission, not by touching all 4 corners like a normal strap match. Flair instantly delivered a hard knife edge chop then used the strap to work on DDP. To the outside they went where DDP sent Flair around the outside using the safety rail. Into the stands they went and they fought up the stairs in the lower level of the MGM Grand. Flair then did some spanking on DDP then some chopping. After some brawling in the stands, back to the ringside area they went. Flair then kissed Kim but found a shot to the forehead by DDP. DDP then cracked the strap across the back of Flair. Flair was then busted open by DDP. Flair then continued to whip Flair taking out the announcers in the process. Back in the ring, DDP tried to cover Flair, but only got a two.

Flair then came back landing the equalizer then chopped DDP down to size. Flair whoooed for the fans ringside and continued his assault on DDP. Flair wrapped the strap around the neck of DDP and slammed DDP down using the strap. Flair then slapped on the figure four and DDP tried to fight off the hold and unwrap the strap from around his neck. DDP finally got the strap off but couldn't fight off the figure four. DDP finally reached the ropes breaking the hold. DDP and Flair then battled to their feet and DDP wrapped the strap around Flair's neck and Diamond Cutted Flair. DDP covered Flair and the referee Charles Robinson counted for the two but wouldn't count for three. DDP thought he won and we didn't know what happened. David then came in with a crowbar and Kim stopped him. DDP then hung Flair with the strap in the corner. Flair screamed in pain after a blow by DDP. David was then Diamond Cutted by DDP after Charles was DC'ed. DDP walked off apparently the victor.
-Winner:DDP by destroying everyone

DDP started to walk to the back with Kim, but decided to come back to the ring and work over the Flairs some more. Ric was put on a board by the medical staff and taken off to the back. Blood was spattered everywhere in the ring and we saw David crying for his dad.

As Flair was taken into the ambulance, Rey Mysterio and Konan hopped out of the driver's side of the ambulance and attacked Flair as he was put in the ambulance. The Filthy Animals then drove Flair off taking him to somewhere. Could we have seen the last of Flair?

Sting then came out once again to see who would accept his challenge. We then heard Goldberg's music and out came Goldberg, the new US Champ to the ring to fight Sting. Oh boy, could we be going back to July 6th, 1998? Well, Schiavone informed us that no title was on the line. Whew. That was a close one.

Main Event
Match 10:Sting vs. Goldberg
Charles Robinson came back to referee this match. A straight out brawl this was. To the outside they went where the announcer's table was used for the upteenth time tonight. Sting went up top and hit a splash on Goldberg. Sting then speared Sting, but Goldberg got right up and went for the spear but missed. Sting then Stinger splashed Goldberg twice. Sting dropped Goldberg with a third and then Sting went for another but Goldberg speared Sting! Sting was then put up and dropped down with a Jackhammer and Goldberg won this impromptu match winning for the second time tonight, but not the World Title.
Winner:Goldberg by pinfall
