WCW Superbrawl Report - February 20, 2000 From San Fransisco, CA - Backstage, Jeff Jarrett announced that the Harris Boys would not be banned from the ring tonight. The Artist (w/Paisley) defeated Lash Leroux by Pinfall to become the new WCW Cruiserweight Champion. - Back and forth high-flying match. At one point, The Artist executed a running knee on Lash when he was in the tree of woe position. When Lash went for a Hurricanrana off the top rope, Pailey held The Artist's hands, causing Lash to fall to the ring by himself. The Artist took the win after the Jumping DDT off the second rope. Brian Knobs defeated Bam Bam Bigelow by Pinfall to become the new WCW Hardcore champion. - Shortly after the match begins, Fit Finlay comes out to help Knobs, but Knobs says he doesn't need any help. Various items such as trash cans and stairs were used. After Bigelow executed the greetings from Asbury Park, he went up to the tope rope. When Finlay distracted Bigelow, Knobs struck Bam Bam with his cast, allowing for Knobs to get the pin. 3-Count defeated Norman Smiley by Submission in a Handicap Match. - 3-Count dominate most of the match. After 2 consecutive top rope splashes by two members of 3-Count, Shannon Moore applies a Boston Crab to Smiley who subits. The Wall defeated Demon by Pinfall. - When The Wall never comes out for the match, Demon goes backstage to find him, but he is attacked by The Wall. Back and forth match with mostly power moves being used. When Demon went up to the top rope, The Wall caught him with a chokeslam for the victory. Tank Abbott defeated Big Al in a "Skins Match". - Tank controls most of the match, and after his big punch which knocked Al out, he suceeded in grabbing the leather jacket. Big T defeated Booker by Pinfall, for the ownership of Harlem Heat. - After interference from Stevie ray and J Biggs, Booker turns things around after a Axe Kick and a Harlem Side Kick. The lightds then go out and a mystery man comes out, who Booker seems to recognise. Booker is distracted, and in turn gets Powerbombed by Big T for the win. Billy Kidman (w/Torrie) defeated Vampiro by Pinfall. - Excellent high-flying match which at one point saw Vampiro kick out of a Hurricanrana off the top rope by Kidman. Kidman got the win with what was referred to as a variation of a reverse DDT. The Mamalukes (w/Disco Inferno) defeated David Flair and Crowbar (w/Daffney) in a Sicilian Stretcher Match to retain the WCW Tag Team Titles. -Lots of action in this match. After Johnny hit a top rope leg drop on David, he was put on the stretcher and taken to the back. Vito then puts Crowbar through a table after a splash to the outside. They then put Crowbar on a stretcher for the win. Afterwards, Disco tapes Daffney to a wheelchair and pushes her to the back. The Cat Interview. - The Cat brings out a fake imposter of James Brown to the ring. The Maestro then comes out and says this is rubbish. The Cat then introduces the real James Brown, and the Maestro passes out. The Cat and James Brown do some dance manuevers in the ring. Ric Flair defeated Terry Funk (w/Dustin Rhodes)in a Texas Death Match. - After a Suplex by Funk, he pins flair for the first 3 count, however Flair is able to make it up before the 10 count. Funk gives up to the Figure Four, however he makes it up before the 10. Funk Piledrives Flair on the floor twice, resulting in a pin. However, Flair gets up before the 10 count. After Funk set up a table, he went to the top rope, but was put through the table by Flair. Flair wins because Funk didn't make it to his feet before the 10 count. Hulk Hogan defeated The Package by Pinfall. - Back and forth match. After Hulk gained control, Luget got the advantage after a low blow. After Jimmy Hart hit the Package with his cast, Hogan is able to Legdrop the Package for the Pin. After the match, Sting comes to the ring and with his bat, clears the ring. He and Hogan shake hands. Sid Vicious defeated Scott Hall and Jeff Jarrett by Pinfall to retain the WCW Heavyweight Title. - At one point, Sid hit a double Chokeslam on Hall and Jarrett. Then Jarrett nailed Sid with the World Title. Jarrett executed the Stroke to Nick Patrick, Mickey Jay and charles Robinson, and called for Mark Johnson. Hall gave Jarrett the Outsider's Edge, but Mark Johnson climed to have hurt his should before making the three count. Jarrett then hits Hall with the guitar. Roddy Piper comes to the ring dressed as a referee. Sid then Chokeslams Jarrett, and Powerbombs Hall to get the pinfall win.
