Backstage, Eric Bischoff said that Hulk Hogan got out from the hospital. Kidman said not to worry about it as he would take care of him.

The announcers plugged the upcoming matches tonight. Madden had a black eye after he was attacked by Tank Abbott on Nitro. The announcers said that the DQ rule wouldn't be so strict tonight, as you would see a lot more pure brawling.

Tag Team Title Tournament: The Mamalukes (w/Disco Inferno) vs. Team Package (w/Elizabeth).
Before the match, Flair said that it would be a pure street fight tonight, which is why he was wearing street clothes. Russo then came out and said because Team Package were veterans and were facing rookies in The Mamalukes, he wanted to even the score by making it 4 on 2. The Harris Brothers came out to team up with The Mamalukes. All 4 men dominated Team Package early on. Flair then came back and chopped down everyone. Flair then put the Figure 4 on Johnny the Bull, but Vito broke it up. On the outside, Liz hit the Disco Inferno. Some guys who looked like security (even though the announcers said they weren't) took Disco Inferno to the back. The Total Package then got the tag and cleaned house. The Total Package then applied the Rack to Johnny the Bull who submitted. Team Package will face the winner of Buff Bagwell and Shane Douglas vs Harlem Heat.

Backstage, Mike Awesome was announced as being the 8th man in the US tournament. Bam Bam Bigelow then came in and the two had an arguement, and Mike Awesome then attacked Bam Bam.

Jimmy Hart (w/Hail) vs Mancow (w/entourage).
Before the match, both insulted each other. Mancow attacked Hart from behind, but Hart came back with a low blow. When Jimmy Hart went for a top rope splash, Mancow pulled the referee on top of him. Hail then came in the ring and press slammed Mancow to the outside on to his entourage. When Hart went for the cover, the referee was still out. Mancow then nailed him with a chair and got the win. After the match, Kidman came out and attacked Jimmy Hart.

Backstage, Vince Russo was angry with The Mamalukes and The Harris Brothers about letting Team Package win.

US Title Tournament: The Wall vs Scott Steiner.
Back and forth match early on. Big Poppa Pump took control after a Belly to Belly Suplex. The match then went outside and The Wall set up a table. Scott Steiner raked his eyes, causing The Wall to be blinded and he Chokeslammed the referee through the table causing the DQ win for Big Poppa Pump, who will now go on to face the winner of Mike Awesome and The Cat in the semi final later tonight.
Winner: Big Poppa Pump by DQ.

Backstage, The Cat was doing an interview when Bam Bam Bigelow attacked The Cat.

US Title Tournament: Mike Awesome vs The Cat.
As Bam Bam layed out The Cat, Bigelow was now in the tournament. Awesome executed some really nice pescados on the outside early on. Bigelow then took control and hit a top rope headbutt. The Cat then came in and superkicked Bigelow out of the ring. The Cat was then dancing, and Awesome hit an excellent clothesline followed by an awesome Frog Splash for the win for Awesome, who will now go on to face Big Poppa Pump in the semi finals of the US title Tournament.
Winner: Mike Awesome by Pinfall.

Backstage, Russo told Bischoff to relax and not to worry about Hulk Hogan as he wasn't going to be showing up tonight.

Backstage, Buff Bagwell and Shane Douglas said they would defeat Team Package when they get to the final tonight.

Tag Team Title Tournament: Harlem Heat (w/J. Biggs and Cash) vs Buff Bagwell and Shane Douglas.
Harlem Heat hit a nice Spinebuster and Legdrop combo. Bck and forth match until Douglas got the tag and cleaned house. On the outside, Cash attacked Bagwell. Douglas hit a modified Pittsburgh Plunge for the win. After the match, Harlem Heat argued, but J. Biggs settled any arguments. Bagwell and Douglas will now face Team Package for the WCW Tag Team Titles later tonight.
Winners: Buff Bagwell and Shane Douglas by Pinfall.

Backstage, Booker T basically said he would win the US Title tonight.

US Title Tournament: Booker T vs Sting.
This was one of the best matches of the night. Sting dominated early on. Sting then nailed Booker T with the ring bell and it actually rang. Booker came back after a Flapjack on the announcer's table. Booker T then gave Sting an Axe Kick, but Sting kicked out. Booker then hit a Flapjack followed by a spineroonie. When Booker went for a Harlem Side Kick, Sting ducked and then gave Booker a DDT. Sting then hit a Stinger Splash, but missed a second attempt. When Booker when for a Suplex, Sting reversed it and hit a Scorpion Deathdrop for the win. After the match, the two men showed a sign of respect by bumping each others hands. Sting will now face the winner of Kidman and Vampiro in the other semi final later tonight.
Winner: Sting by Pinfall.

Backstage, Bischoff said that Hogan would not be showing up tonight. Kidman said that if Hogan did show up, he would just put him back in the hospital anyway.

US Title Tournament: Vampiro vs Kidman (w/Torrie).
Vampiro dominated early on after a top rope body press. Kidman the gave Vampiro a Hurricanrana. Vampiro came back after a huge throwing Powerbomb. When Vampiro went for a Powerbomb, Kidman reversed it into a Facebuster. Vampiro came back once again with a series of spin kicks. Backstage, Hulk Hogan is shown arriving and headed out to the ring. Hogan gave a version of a Chokeslam to Kidman over the top rope. Hogan then Chokeslammed Kidman of the steps on to the announcer's table. Hogan then slammed Kidman through the announcer's table. He then threw Kidman in the ring and Vampiro made the pin, who will now face Sting in the semi final later tonight. Hogan then said that he would find Bischoff right now.
Winner: Vampiro by Pinfall.

Backstage, Hogan is shown looking for Bischoff. Hogan then found Bischoff and attacked him, but Russo brought the police in who pulled a gun on Hogan. The police then arrested Hogan.

Backstage, Terry Funk is shown looking for Norman Smiley. He found him in a bathroom, and the Hardcore match started.

WCW Hardcore Title Match: Terry Funk vs Norman Smiley.
The match went into the caterering area, and Funk threw cans of soft drink on Smiley and then sprayed him with a fire extinguisher. Smiley came back and nailed Funk with a trash can, and a cookie sheet. Smiley shoved Funk head fist into a trash can. Funk bashed the hell out of Smiley with a laptop computer. When Smilet climbed a ladder, Funk pulled it away and Smiley was forced to hold onto the top of the roof's plumbing pipes. Funk then slammed Smiley off the roof through a table. The match then made its way into the arena. Smiley nailed Funk with a chair several times. Smiley performed the Big Wiggle on Funk's behind, but Funk nailed Smiley with a chair from behind. Funk then grabbed a ladder from under the ring. Dustin Rhodes then interfered and Piledrove Funk on a chair. Funk then put a boot in Rhodes face through a chair. Funk then threw a ladder onto Smiley from the ring to the outside, and got the pinfall.
Winner: Terry Funk by Pinfall, to become the new WCW Hardcore Champion.

Backstage, Russo told Booker T that he's really annoying him now that he didn't do what Bischoff wanted by not beating Sting.

US Title Tournament Semi Final: Mike Awsome vs Scott Steiner.
Back and forth match early on. Awseome took control after he hit a slingshot clothesline and a splash of the ropes. When he was whipped to the corner, Awesome hit a nice springboard elbow drop off the middle rope. When he went up top for the Frog Splash, Kevin Nash came down and nailed Awesome with a crutch. Big Poppa Pump then applied the Steiner Recliner to Awesome who submitted. Big Poppa Pump will now face the winner of Vampiro and Sting for the WCW United States Title later tonight.
Winner: Big Poppa Pump by Submission.

Backstage, Vince Russo with Booker T told Dustin Rhodes that he was fired, because he was unable to prevent Terry Funk from not winning the Hardcore Title.

US Title Tournament Semi Final: Vampiro vs Sting.
Sting controlled the match early on. Sting hit a nice top rope Splash on Vampiro. On the outside, Sting went for a Stinger Splash to Vampiro who was on the security railing, Vampiro moved out of the way causing Sting to smash into the barrier. Back in the ring, Vampiro hit a Shoulderblock followed by a Legdrop. When Vampiro jumped off the top rope, Sting reversed it into a Powerbomb. Sting then hit a Scorpion Deathdrop followed by applying the Scorpion Deathlock for the submission win. Sting will now face Big Poppa Pump, Scott Steiner in the United States Title Match later tonight.
Winner: Sting by Submission.

Backstage, Diamond Dallas Page said he would become the three time, three time, three time WCW Heavyweight Champion.

WCW Cruiserweight Title Match: Shannon Moore (w/Shane Helms) vs The Artist (w/Paisley) vs Crowbar (w/David Flair and Daphne) vs Lash LeRoux vs Chris Candido vs Juventud Guererra.
Before the match, 3-Count (although there were only two) performed their song twice, although the second time everyone else came out and stopped them singing. Lash LeRoux hit the Whiplash 2000 on Crowbar, but he kicked out. Juventud hit the Juvi Driver of Lash, but The Artist broke it up. Daphne then went for a top rope Hurricanrana on Juventud, but he ducked and Daphne hit Crowbar with the move instead. All 6 men then hit planchas on the outside. Back in the ring, The Artist went to the top rope, but Tammy Sytch came in and pushed off the Artist who fell head first on a chair. Candido then made the pinfall. After the match, Tammy Sytch and Paisley got into a cat fight.
Winner: Chris Candido by Pinfall, to become the new WCW Cruiserweight Champion.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett said that with the New Blood behind him, he would win the WCW Heavyweight Title tonight.

WCW Tag Team Title Match: Team Package (w/Elizabeth) vs Buff Bagwell and Shane Douglas (w/Vince Russo).
Russo joined the announcers for commentary. Back and forth match. At the beginning when Flair was in with Douglas, Flair was in control, but Douglas and Bagwell then dominated Flair for the next few minutes. Flair then got the tag after The Total Package nailed Douglas with a Clothesline. The Total Package cleaned house and Double Clotheslined Bagwell and Douglas. When Flair had the Figure 4 applied, Bagwell broke it up. when Bagwell went for the Buff Blockbuster, Flair moved out of the way and Buff hit the Blockbuster on Douglas. When Flair went for the pin, the referee was pulled out of the ring by Russo. Bryan Adams and Bryan Clark then came in and gave The Total Package a Double Chokeslam, and Russo came in and made the pin.
Winners: Buff Bagwell and Shane Douglas to become the new WCW Tag Team Champions.

Backstage, Big Poppa Pump said he would win the US Title tonight.

Backstage, Sting said Scott Steiner would be his next casualty, as he would beat Russo and Bischoff at their own game by winning the US Title. It's showtime folks!

WCW United States Title Match: Scott Steiner vs Sting.
Sting went for a top rope Splash early on, but Big Poppa Pump put up his knees into Sting's midsection. Poppa Pump then hit an impressive Press Slam. Sting came back after a Stinger Splash, and when he went for a second, Poppa Pump pulled the referee infront of him to take the full bront of the Splash. Vampiro then appeared and ripped a hole from under the ring and pulled Sting under the ring. When Sting reappeared, his mouth was bleeding badly. Poppa Pump then applied the Steiner Recliner for the submission victory.
Winner: Big Poppa Pump by Submission, to become the new WCW United States Champion.

WCW Heavyweight Title Match: Jeff Jarrett vs Diamond Dallas Page (w/Kimberly).
Early on, DDP hit the Diamond Dream, a big flying DDT, but Jarrett kicked out. The fight then went through the crowd. Back in the ring, when DDP went up to the top rope, Jarrett shook the ropes causing DDP to crotch himself on the ropes. Jarrett brought in a chair, and nailed DDP in the back with it. Jarrett then worked over DDP's back. DDP reversed a Jarrett move into a Powerbomb. Bischoff then made his way out into the aisle. Jarrett then grabbed a copy of DDP's book, Positively Page, and ripped it up. Kimberly then grabbed Jarrett's hair, but Jarrett pushed her away. DDP then crotched Jarrett on the ringpost. Jarrett then brought in the Heavyweight Title and nailed DDP with it, but DDP kicked out. Bischoff then moved towards the ring, and Kimberly grabbed the Guitar. Jarrett then applied the Figure 4, but DDP got out of it. DDP then gave Jarrett a sort of twist around Rock Bottom. Jarrett then slowed it down after a Sleeper. Bischoff then distracted the referee, and DDP gave Jarrett the Diamond Cutter. Kimberly then came in and was about to hit Jarrett with the Guitar, but instead nailed DDP. Jarrett then hit the Stroke and got the pin. After the match, Kimberly, Russo and Bischoff hugged. The New Blood then came in to celebrate with Jeff Jarrett.
