Pre-show Happenings

Justin Credible was out and he had the microphone. He said Sabu wouldn't be coming and just basically talked about how he was just incredible. ... Rob Van Dam was in the back with Bill Alfonso, and said Jerry Lynn was mowing through the competition, he was RVD and the "Whole F'N Show." Alfonso just said Sabu would show up, and nothing would keep him from beating Justin Credible. ... The announcer ran down the card, and said it could be Shane Douglas' last PPV with the company. Limp Bizkit was then playing. ... Tommy Dreamer was in the back and said how he was not scared of Lance Storm, basically pumping up their PPV match. He also said he wanted "Beulah's" head between his legs, right before he piledrives her. ... "Beulah" was then interviewed. She said she knew Tommy wanted her, but Tommy was taking it to far. She said she knew Tommy wanted to get her into a piledriver so her butt would be shown to the world, but she was confident it wouldn't happen. She mentioned she would not be wearing panties. She also said if Tommy wanted a piece of her, he would have all of her. ... Clips were shown from the The Dudley Boyz' brawl at the last ECW event where the Tag Team Titles were on the line. Clips continued to show, where Sabu came in and cleared the ring of Justin Credible, Lance Storm, etc.

Taz vs. Chris Candido for Heavyweight Title

Chris Candido came out and said he would provide the fans with the excitement that they wanted, the interference they wanted, and with everything they want. He then introduced his insurance policies, The Dudley Boyz. Taz then came out down to the ring and he and Candido started the match (which was scheduled to be the main event). The match was fast and furiou, as Taz executed a number of suplexes. He then gave Candido a Tazplex and choked out Candido for the win. The Dudley Boyz entered the ring and beat down Candido.

The Dudley Boyz (w/Joel Gertner and Sign Guy Dudley) vs. Balls Mahoney and Spike Dudley for the Tag Team Titles

Cyrus (Jackyl) showed up to do color commentary with Joey Styles. The Dudley Boyz grabbed the microphone, and proclaimed theywere the best tag team in the world today. They mentioned they were the six-time champions. They “hacked” up the Sandman, they broke Beulah, they destroyed The Eliminators and now Saturn wore a dress, and the list went on. They said if there was anybody that wanted a piece of them, to come down immediately. Balls Mahoney then came down, alone. He got into the ring, and a handicap match began. The match started off fast. Mahoney climbed to the top rope, but got caught. Spike Dudley’s music then played and he made his way down to the ring. He came from behind The Dudley’s. He delivered a low blow and then made a cover and got a two count. Mahoney turned his back and got attacked from behind by The Dudleys. Balls then got up and performed a double clothesline. Spike Dudley took a fall off the ring and hit the steel guardrail. Joel Gertner and Sign Guy Dudley were on the outside of the ring. Spike Dudley got back in and went for another pin, but only got a two count. Spike hit a left handed low blow and the Dudleys were in trouble. Spike went off the top rope and through a table. Balls made a save when Spike got pinned. Spike was not moving to well. The Dudleys executed the Dudley Death Drop on Spike, but they did not go for a pin. Balls came in and knocked The Dudleys down. Gertner came into the ring and tried to throw fire at Balls. Gertner was jumping around, celebrating and obviously proud of himself. Balls got up, crushed Gertner, but turned around and got nailed with the 3-D, which let The Dudleys retain the Tag Team Titles.

Super Crazy vs. Taka Michinoku

Super Crazy (who has wrestled on WWF's Super Astros program under the name Super Loco) and Taka Michinoku started off in a fast paced match. A pin was attempted early by Taka but he only got a one count. The match went to the outside when Super Crazy did a leaping DDT on him. The match went back in the ring and Michinoku just started kicking Crazy in the face. Taka did some chops on Crazy, and was then whipped to the rope. Crazy put on a sleeper. Taka reversed it and then both broke it up. Taka then punched Crazy a few times. Taka whipped Crazy to the ropes and hit him in the mid-section with his knee. Taka then gave Crazy a tornado DDT. Taka tried to perform another tornado DDT but Crazy turn it into a senton bomb. Crazy went for a cover, but only two count. Taka reversed, but another two count. Taka threw Crazy to the outside, and went for a springboard plancha, but missed. The match was on the outside, and Crazy did a high flying maneuver off the top rope and nailed Taka. Crazy threw Taka back into the ring. Taka was limping on his left knee (probably the bad one) because Crazy had been targeting it. Taka got back on the offensive, and climbed to the top rope and missed a moonsault. Crazy then went up top and dropkicked Taka. Taka took him down and went to the top rope. He dropkicked Crazy in the back of the head. Taka gave Crazy a Michinoku Driver, but didn't go for a cover, but instead, tried another, but Crazy countered. There were then some fast maneuvers. Crazy did a version of a Tiger Powerbombfor the win.

Little Guido (w/Big Sal Graziano) vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri

Before the match, The Dudley Boyz were in the back with Joel Gertner. Gertner handed a hit list over to The Dudleys. Number one was Nova, so Nova was attacked and beaten down. In the match, Guido came down to ringside with Big Sal Graziano and then Yoshihiro Tajiri (who has also competed in the WWF). Tajiri came into the ring, and Guido give him a slap. Sal was in the ring and basically played an enforcer for Guido. The match started and Tajiri got in a few kicks. Guido then took down Tajiri and started trying to chop him. Tajiri slowed the match down and put a body scissors on Guido. He let Guido up and then took him down again with a kick to the back of the knee. Tajiri took him down and Guido looks out. Tajiri tried a powerbomb, but Guido stopped it and started punching and kicking Tajiri. He then took down Tajiri and got him in an armbar, but Tajiri got to the ropes. Guido went for a drop kick, but Tajiri just swatted away the attempt. Guido went to the outside next to Big Sal. Tajiri dived to the outside, hitting both Guido and Sal. Tajiri hit Guido with a dropkick and then threw him into the ring post. Guido rolled into the ring. Tajiriwas caught in the ropes and Big Sal knocked him loose. Guido stared kicking again, but Tajiri fought back. It went outside again, and Guido did a guillotine legdrop on Tajiri (on the ramp). He threw him back into the ring and went for a pin, but only got a two count. Guido then hit a few chops. Guido had Tajiri in an armbar, but then he let go. As Guido distracted the referee, Big Sal came in and crushed Tajiri behind the referee's back. Guido smothered him and then picked him up. Guido was thrown to the outside and Big Sal threw around Tajiri. Tajiri was back in the ring, and fought back on Guido with a bunch of ferocious chops. Guido went for a cover and got a two count. Guido then gave Tajiri a sidekick, and then a powerbomb into a pin, but only two. He then tried to go for the Sicilian Crab, but Tajiri fought back. Tajiri tried a suplex, but Guido reversed and got Tajiri in a full nelson, but Tajiri got to the ropes. Tajiri spinned Guido around, and Guido was down. He then got back up and just chopped Tajiri. Guido was tied upside down in the corner and Tajiri smashed him hard. Guido was untangled and Sal tried to interfere, but Tajiri puts on a brainbuster, to take the win.

Tommy Dreamer vs. Lance Storm (w/"Beulah")

The Dudleys were in the back again. They look at "the list" and the next guy was Rod Price. They went and found him. Price was beaten down, with The Dudleys saying saying "Nothing personal Rod, nothing personal, just business." The also said they were the best Tag Team Champions ever. Tammy Lynn Bytch, or "Beulah," was with Lance Storm. Francine came out to assist Tommy Dreamer, and the match started out on the ramp between Storm and Dreamer. Dreamer had a garbage can lid. The match was fast and furios, with both men going for power maneuvers and suplexes. They were fist fighting, and Storm finally rolled to the outside and set up a table, but Dreamer came out and they fist fought. Storm was then thrown into the guardrail head first (it was in the ring). The ring was covered with a lot of extreme garbage. Storm went to the top rope and missed an aerial maneuver. Dreamer set up a steel chair and threw Storm headfirst into it. He went up to the top rope, but got caught. He was rocket launched into the steel chair by Storm. Storm went for the cover and gets a two count. Francine was getting the fans behind Tommy. Both men trid to grapple and suplex each other, but Storm was whipped into the ropes. Dreamer threw him over the top rope and through a table! Storm was back in the ring, and Lance slammed onto the steel chair. Dreamer covered, but only a two. Tommy tried to run off the ring apron and crush Storm, but Storm hit Tommy with a ladder and then a garbage can to the eyes. Dreamer was thrown headfirst into the ladder. Dreamer then got back on the offensive and roled Lance Storm back into the ring. Lance was hit with the ladder right in the face. Storm was smashed again, was down. Dreamer went for a frog splash but took the ladder in the knees. Storm rolled to the outside. Storm set up a table. He tried a to put Dreamer through the table, but Dreamer reversed and hit a Spicolli Driver. Dreamer made the cover, but the referee was down from an earlier blow. In came Cyrus, but Francine gave him a gut buster. In came "Beulah." Dreamer grabbed her and set her up for a piledriver. He hit the piledriver on "Beulah," but he was hit with a garbage can on the face. Spin kick from the top by Storm for the pinfall.

Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn for the Television Title

The Dudley's were shown in the back. The next guy that was on the list was a recovering Jack Victory, a friend of The Dudleys. They look in an envelope from Gertner with $5,000 in it to beat down Victory. The Dudleys pounded on the door of Victory's dressing room. Jack said what The Dudleys did to Taz was great, but then The Dudleys started beating on Jack really hard. The Dudleys said cash does rule everything around them, and there was not a man in the world that could stand up to the Dudley Boys. Taz was shown in the back. He said he was not scared of The Dudley's and that he would take care of The Dudley's later on. He said tonight he would make them tap out. RVD came out with Alphonso, blowing his whistle. It was announced there was no time limit for the matchup. The match started. Both men reversd armbars. RVD put a side headlock on Lynn. Lynn then reversed into a hammerlock and then a drop toehold. Both men performed a string of technical moves. They tied up, and back into the corner. RVD was showboating right in front of Jerry Lynn. The match was going back and forth, with Van Dam's showboating slowing the pace down. Lynn went up to the top and springboarded, dropping RVD all the way to the floor. Lynn climbed to the top again and nailed RVD on the outside. The match went back in the ring. Lynn nailed RVD, followed by a guillotine legdrop. Lynn went for the cover, but only got a two count. Lynn started chopping RVD. He hoisted RVD to the top rope and doid a big bulldog. He went for the cover, but only ot a two count. Alphonso interfered and was holding a chair. Rob Van Dam took control, and spin kicked Lynn, off the top turnbuckle, to the outside. RVD stomped on Lynn. RVD threw Lynn over the guardrail into the first row. RVD got into the ring and the fan chanted, "RVD!" Van Dam did a flying clothesline on Lynn. Lynn recovered and did a dropkick on RVD. Lynn climbed back over the guardrail, really slowly. They got back into the ring and RVD threw Lynn into the turnbuckle, and went for a cradle. Two count. Van Dam then did a spinning heel kick. RVD missed a modified version of a senton. Van Dam did a snap suplex on Lynn and went for the pin, but another two count. Lynn was on the top rope and he did a sunset flip on RVD, but got yet another two count. A short armed clothesline by Lynn on RVD. Lynn rolled to the outside and pulled a table from under the ring. He set the table up at ringside. Van Dam came out and was thrown into the guardrail. Lynn then charged, but Van Dam threw him over the guardrail. Van Dam did a modified Van Daminator sidekick. RVD threw Lynn back over the guardrail. Lynn was thrown into the ringpost. They were fighting on the apron, and Van Dam was on the top rope. Van Dam threw Lynn over through the timekeeper's table. Van Dam went back to the outside, and Lynn went into the steel guardrail again. Van Dam set up Lynn and dropped him on the guardrail. RVD then did a dorkscrew guillotine legdrop onto Lynn. Van Dam threw Jerry back into the ring. RVD covered for a two count. Dropkick to Lynn's left knee by RVD, and then a flip. Lynn rolled to the outside and both men were fighting on the apron. Lynn was thrown face-first into the turnbuckle. Both men fought for the turnbuckles. They finally got back into the ring and RVD covered for yet another two. RVD was now on the apron, and Lynn did a sunset flip on RVD. RVD went through the table on the outside. Lynn pulled RVD back into the ring and covered for a two. Alphonso slided a chair into the ring, but he was hit in the face with it. Lynn did a slam on RVD and he went up top. RVD caught him with a front kick. RVD then punched him. Van Dam climbed to the top, but was crushed and Lynn was also down. RVD covered and got a two count. Jerry Lynn did his own Van Daminator on RVD, but RVD kicked out of the pin attempt. Van Dam covered Lynn, but Lynn did a bridge to get out of it. Lynn tried a cradle piledriver, but RVD got out of it. Van Dam got Lynn down and tried a maneuver off the top rope. He covered for a two count. RVD snapped Lynn over. He went up top, and did a Five Star Frog Splash. A cover was made, but Lynn surprisingly kicked out. They both got up. Lynn leaped frogged RVD. Alphonso got back up and tossed a chair to RVD. He hit Lynn with it and finally made the pinfall to retain the TV Title.

Justin Credible vs. Sid

The Dudleys were in the back. They were upset about what Taz had said earlier in the show, whch caused them to attack Taz' cousin, Chris Chetti. D-Von apparently broke his hand on Chetti's head. Next, Joey Styles mentioned Shane Douglas would not be at the PPV to fight Justin Credible and announced Douglas is officially not part of ECW anymore. Sabu could not take on Credible either, since he was banned from fighting in the United States. Justin came out with his entourage and he grabbed the microphone, proclaiming he was the best, the greatest, he injured different people, he wasn't scared of anyone, etc. He said he was guiltier than O.J. Simpon was and nobody could stop him. He challenged anyone, and out comes Judge Jeff Jones. He introducted ... SID (apparently returning after all those troubles with Paul Heyman). Sid ran down and the match started. It lasted about one minute, as Sid started chokeslamming Credible over and over. Lance Storm came down and started pounding on Sid. Credible threw powder in the eyes of Sid, and then out came Sabu. He ran down and cleaned house. He lay Sid and Credible onto a table. He then climbed the top rope and smashes both through the wood. The ECW security came in and started trying to take Sabu out of the arena. Sid got up and was angry. He was glaring at Judge Jeff Jones. Sid geot a hold of Jones and slammed him down, ending their relationship Sid then powerbombed Jones.

Taz vs. Bubba Ray Dudley for the Heavyweight Title

The atch started off really fast as Taz ran into the ring. The match started going around the entire arena. Taz was getting bashed and was bleeding. Bubba Ray was on the offensive, but then Taz gave him a huge suplex off the middle rope. Sidewalk slams and punching were executed. Taz was on the outside of the ring. There were tables in the ring, at adjacent points. Bubba yelled, "Im the world champion!" Bubba yelled things at Taz, which ticked Taz off. He was wiping blood out of his eyes constantly. Bubba crushed Taz and went for the pin, but only got a two count. A hangmans neckbreaker was executed by Bubba. He only got Taz in a two count. D-Von was on the outside and called for a 3D, but Taz gave him a DDT, followed by a Tazplex. A pin by Taz, but only a two count. Taz went after Bubba. He went and hooked on the Tazmission. Bubba could not hold on, thus submitting, to let Taz retain the Heavyweight Title.
