Pearlized Easter Eggs

I'm not even sure where I found this project.  But a fun one to do with children!

The following is a list of materials you will need for this project:

  • Eggs

  • Tiny nail bowl

  • Pearlized acrylic paints in yellow, pink, white, blue, green, lavender

  • Disposable foam plate

  • Sponge and water

  • Glass bowl (for display)

  • White sand Pearls and shells

  • Pierce tiny holes on opposite ends of an egg. Poke a hole in egg yolk. Blow inside of egg into a bowl.

  • Choose color combinations for your eggs. These pearlized colors were used in combinations of three colors.

  • Place the three colors of paint on a foam plate in small, quarter-size amounts. Soak a sponge in water and squeeze out excess. Begin sponging on one color on one end. Rinse and apply other colors.

  • Add and sponge in white where you want colors to lighten. Sponge and blend colors for the look you want.

  • Display eggs in a glass bowl with sand, shells, and pearls.
