Choctaw is a member of the American Indian people of Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.
Choctaw is the language of the Choctaw and Chickasaw people.
Apache Arts offers the Native American artistic, educational and reference materials. In 1993, the Apache Arts have endeavored to increase awareness to people of the Native American heritage.
The U.S. and Washington wall maps of the Native Americans are informative and beautiful. There are mamps of the individual Western states that are followed by the rest of the U.S.
The maps and directory done by the Apache Art will be helpful for the Native Americans researching family history or just wanting general information about other tribes. The Apache Art is done by Pacific Northwest artists, and they are designed to complement the Apache Art maps.
The name 'Caddo' is a contraction of Kadohadacho, which means "real chiefs." It is pronounces CAD-oh.
One part of the Caddoan linguistic group is the Caddo tribe. The Caddo tribe are experts in sign language to talk with other Indian tribes.
The Southern Caddo were farmers who mad salt and wood from bios d'arc tree which were prized for making bows in bows and arrows in pre-Columbian days. The Southern Caddo traded with other Indians.
Also, they farmed corn, beans, pumpkins, and livestock. The Southern Caddo were primarily a Woodland tribe. Many of them were horsemen and hunters. This reflected the Plains tribe Indians culture.
There are 3,800 members of the Caddo Indian Tribe in Oklahoma.
There headquarters are located in Binger, Oklahoma.
