AFRAID TO TRUST GOD

One of my favorite Scriptures, which touches me deeply, is Micah 7:18, "Who is a GOD like unto Thee. Who forgivest iniquity and passes by the transgression of Your People? You do not stay angry forever because You delight to show mercy."

GOD loves to show mercy. The Bible says that He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

A lot of times we are afraid to come before GOD, afraid to live in His Presence because we think that GOD is angry with us because of our lives. I heard Steve Brown of Key Life Ministry say this and I found this to be true, that GOD is not mad at you. You can come to Him and be yourself. Jesus loves you and died for you so that you can freely come before His Throne.

Let me ask you something: How many people have you led to Christ this week? How many people on the job have you told that Jesus loves them? How much time have you spent in fervent prayer this week?

Right about now, we're all feeling guilty. But, GOD's not mad at you. He wants to relieve you of that guilt. He's saying, "I know that you're not where you could be, but I know that you want to be better than you are and I love you."

The devil is the accuser of the Brethren. It's not GOD Who is loading you with guilt. Jesus didn't come to bring condemnation. He came to bring Life.

The Bible says that even when we're unfaithful, GOD remains faithful. Even when we're caught up in that sin that so easily gets us, GOD remains faithful.

Have you ever done something really bad and then asked GOD to forgive you? Then you do it again and ask Him to forgive you and you promise not to do it anymore and then you find yourself doing it again.

Well, if you're like me, around about the third or fourth time, the guilt is really eating you up and you're ashamed to face GOD because you know that you wouldn't forgive you.

Good News. GOD is not mad at you. You can come to Him. He'll forgive you. His Love is unconditional. He'll help you through it. But you've got to come to Him.

All of us have something in our lives that we are so ashamed about. Something that, if we were exposed would ruin us. Something that we worry about everyday that someone will find out.

Jesus wants to help you to overcome that. He knows that you want to be better than you are.

Don't worry. Your salvation is not in jeopardy. You still belong to Him. Just come boldly before His Throne. Rest in Jesus. He will help you. Just abide in Christ and live in His Presence.

The wonder of it all.
