When the last kingdom crumbles, when the last sunset falls, You'll still be Lord of All.
Lord, we come to you in the Name of Jesus. We lift high that Name. The only Name given among men whereby we must be saved. The Mighty Name of Jesus.
Lord, we're here not because we're good. Not because we're right. But because we're Yours and You told us to come. And here we are. We're here with all of our baggage. With all of our fears. And with all of our faith.
Lord, we thank You for Your kindness and compassion. We thank You that when we failed You, You didn't throw us into the trash heap, but You forgave us and gave us another chance.
Now Lord, please look on each one of us. You know our thoughts and You know our need. You know the secrets that we dare not tell. You know about that woman who just went through a divorce, and that other woman who, just last night, her husband told her that he didn't love her. You know about that husband and wife who fight all the way to church. You see that member who comes in late and sits in the back so that no one can smell his breath because he had to have a drink to come to church. You see us all and you see the pain.
Now Lord, please meet us at the point of our need. Hold our hand. We need to feel your touch. We need to hear the soft sound of sandaled feet headed our way.
Oh GOD, forgive our sins. We really do love You and we want to please you. Walk with us, Lord, and get us home before the dark.
