In Mulders mind there is no doubt that paranormal things exsist. He developed an interest in the supernatural when his sister was abducted by aliens on November 27, 1973. He tried to save her, with efforts to reach his father's gun, but was paralized, powerless. He stumbled over the X Files one day in the basement of F.B.I headquarters, and read everything he could get his hands on, completely fascinated. In 1992 he was assigned to work with Dana Scully. At first he wasn't so thrilled, but he soon warmed up to the idea.
Mulder was born on October 13, 1961 in Chilmark, MA.
His religion has not been revealed, but we do know that he does not believe in miracles.

Mulder attended Oxford University, and has his degree in psychology. At the Academy he developed a knickname; "Spooky Mulder" He wrote a monograph on serial killers and the occult. Mulder joined the F.B.I at 28, and is a wonderful agent. His superiors feel his talents are wasted on The X Files. Before he started The X Files project he did some time working in the Violent Crimes section, and the Behavioral Science Unit profiling serial killers. Mulder's interests include: Washington Redskins, basketball, running, and his pet fish. He also enjoys eating sunflower seeds.
Scully is the skeptic of the two. She was assigned originally to the X Files to debunk Agent Mulder's work. She soon felt it best to let Mulder continue with the project, and lost sight of the idea of ending it.She was born on February 23, 1964 in San Diego, CA. She is a devoted Catholic, despite her scientific view of everything. She currently lives at 3170 W. 53rd Street, apartment # 35 in Washington D.C. Scully attended the University of Maryland (B.S. physics) She wrote "Einstein's Twin Paradox: A New Interpretation". On her 15th birthday her mother gave her a small gold cross, which she wears all the time. Her family is listed below:

Scully was abducted by aliens (or government men--we have yet to find out) during her second year working on The X Files project. She has no recollection of what happened during the time she was missing, but what she does know freaks her out. A small chip was found in the back of her neck that monitors her every thought. She soon discovered that it was not aliens who abducted her but a secret goverment agency (SGA). As a result of these tests she has developed an inoperable brain tumor.
Assistant Director Walter Skinner is Mulder and Scully's direct superior. He is an ex Marine, stern and definatley demanding. Skinner is by the book, direct opposite of Mulder. This causes some tension between the two. He shut down the X Files once saying, "Everyone takes their orders from someone, Agent Mulder." Referring to the mysterous Cancer Man. He later reopened the files as a sort of revenge against "The Powerful Men in the Goverment."
This man is just as mysterious as he is evil. He is part of one those SGA (secret goverment agencies) and has been monitoring Mulder's work since the beginning. He fears the X Files because the project might reveal the truth about aliens. He will do anything to keep the things he knows a secret, even go as far as murder.
