PMU Baby Rescue

I don't know really to begin. First let me tell you how the hormone drug premarin is made. Premarin is made from the urine of pregant mares. These mares are kept at farms, and used solely to be bred, so that there urine can be used. This sounds fine until you realize the by product of doing this--unwanted foals. Thses foals are barely weanlings when they get shipped off to slaughter houses. There is such an abundance of these foals, that trying to find homes for them all, every year, is almost impossible. That's why a woman named Donna has started what is called PMU Babytrek '99. Donna decided that enough was enough. She is trying desperately to get people together with trailers to go up to Alberta, Canada to save these foals. She spoke to a farmer who owned one of these farms and asked if he could put aside some of these babies until she could find more people interested in adopting them. He said he was, but the time is here for her to start getting volunteers to save these babies. Please got to Donna's Homepage and see more of these beautiful babies, and learn more about what you can do to help.
