Because I’ve heard (from an entirely unconfirmed source – in fact, I can’t remember the source!),
that the Kansas City Renaissance Festival is the “Second Largest Ren Fest” on the planet,
the The Texas Renaissance Festival must be THE LARGEST ONE!

Here are a few TRF FACTOIDZ:

• It is spread over 54 acres
  
• Has 21 stages with over 200 performances daily
  
• Over 300 Arts and Crafts Shoppes
  (That’z the “hard” shoppes – the BUILDINGS … that doesn’t count
  the miscellaneous Cartes and Stands that get set up here & there!)
  
• And, over 3,000 costumed characters daily

I first attendedeth the TRF in 2000, when taking myne Baby Bro (Steve), his wife and Kidz to it –
their FIRST Ren Faire Forray!

Well of course I brought COSTUMES for everyone to wear!

Nephew Erik & his Buddy also attended, as well as Steve & Jodi,
but they weren’t in costume, and we didn’t do a “Group” pic that year.

I had so much fun taking them to Faire in 2000, I returned in 2001,
this time ALSO bringing Sister Kim & her son with.

AYE. I costumed EVERYONE.
(Even Steve, who took the PIC!)

Although the 2001 TRF was even MORE fun than the 2000 TRF,
because HOUSTON is such a very LONG drive away,
I’ve been attending every-OTHER-year since then!

2003 (above) was a RECORD for the number of people I costumed for the TRF:

Unfortunately, none of the KIDZ could get time off from Sports Functions
to attend the 2005 TRF with Mistress Leenda and I …
Baby Bro Steve was too busy with werk to come with us …
and Jodi was too ill with terrible ALLERGY problems – GADZ!
SO. In 2005, ‘twas jest Mistress Chas and Mistress Leenda!

Granted, we had a FANTABULOUS TYME!BUT …
