FROM THE BAND:
Moe Beats was excavated from the smoldering wreckage of a UFO inside the volcano at the centre of Beat Island by Alexander J. Currie roughly circa. 1989.
On a cruise somewhere in the Mid-South Pacific, Alex's family had been marooned on Beat Island after succumbing to her awesome barrier reefs. Young Alex was quickly forced to eat his family, and befriended the local shore crabs to stave off crushing loneliness. Soon, however, he found himself drawn to the island's mysterious volcano. After defeating the hydra the young boy discovered Moe Beats inside the twisted metallic wreckage, dead in the centre of the crater.
Moe taught his young follower the way of the rhythm and instructed him throughout his upbringing. Alex and Moe Beats were the only ones who understood each other, and Moe Beats would only unleash the Beats on Alex's command. The two were inseparable.
On a routine catamaran trip from France, internationally renowned jewel thief Malcolm W. Baillie’s craft soon fell prey to the barrier reefs of Beat Island. Tired and hungry, all he could hear upon gaining consciousness was “That Beat,” echoing off the majestic shores and busy crabs. That Beat, coming from the grove nearby. He needed That Beat... and it just kept getting closer. After defeating the hydra he came upon the beat machine in the wilderness. Malcolm offered to exchange food and board for the two for "That Beat"... Alex and Moe quickly decided that they could not live off the beat alone, and food was getting scarce on Beat Island. They agreed.
And thus The Triad Keepers of the Beat were born.
