MISTRESS CHAS’ 2007 YORK NEBRASKA RENAISSANCE FAIRE PIX DIRECTORY

The Camelot Inn Motel at the York, Nebraska I-80 Exit wanted to hold some kind of EVENT to celebrate their
Grand “Re-Opening.” And, someone suggested that they host a REN FAIRE to do that!

Bill Bolton took on the task of coordinating the Faire, and contacted Sir Gregory o’ Nebraska Ren Fest Fame
– or INFAMY, as the case may be (LOL) – to obtain tips for doing so! Sir Gregory encouraged Bill to
contact the Nebraska Wenches. (“They won’t cost you a CENT!”) He did. We thought about it. And decided,
“What the HUZZAH?! OVER!”

The day was very OVERCAST, incredibly WINDY, and quite COLD!!!
But, in spite of that, “More people than we anticipated” attended.

• YORK LUST MUSTER POYNTE & FOLKZ
  Being pix o’ Ye Olde Lust Muster Poynte (LMP) and FOLKZ who didst hang about there,
  on Saturday, September 15th, 2007.
  Mistress LEENDA brought a CANOPY for to shelter the LMP!!!

• OUR MINSTRELS
  Our Minstrels, “The Banished Unfortunates,” attended.
  They’re not really “OUR” Minstrels! They just agree to come with us where ‘ere we go!

• The RUNE FORTUNES & FACE PAINT TABLE!!!
  What a GRAND IDEA this has become! I wish I could remember how I came up with it!
  Folk sit down on a Tub Stool … Reach into a red-scarf-covered bowl o’ RUNE STONES (stones with a different VIKING RUNE painted on each) … Pull out a Rune Stone … and that RUNE is their FORTUNE!
  Each of the Rune Stones has a corresponding CARD in the Rune Stone Card Chest … on the card is their FORTUNE, according to that Rune Stone.
  After hearing their fortune, Folkz have the option of us PAINTING the RUNE on their BODY! (Usually the CHEEK o’ the FACE. But, hey. We don’t mind being creative!)
