How have things gone with touring since the last time we spoke, roughly since March? Any particularly memorable shows?
Touring since March was amazing! We had a short tour called "Haunting the Cities" where we played 4 shows in Italy, Austria and Germany and a whole of other single shows abroad like a headliner show on Toxoplasmose Festival in St. Imier, Switzerland. I guess this was one of the coolest shows we've ever done! From the first to the last note pure chaos! It's cool playing a show about 1000km away from your hometown as an unsigned band and people know your lyrics! We're booked for next year too and I can't wait getting back to those freaks!
27th and 28th of July we're the national support of Walls of Jericho and the Red Chord and we're gonna play shows with War from a Harlots Mouth, Annotations of an Autopsy and and 2 festivals. I think this will be one of our coolest summers ever!!!
Another tour through Europe with our friends of Japanische Kampfhörspiele from Germany and Man Must Die from Scotland is being planned, we'll get the details soon.
How has the response been from fans regarding tracks from the upcoming new album? How many of them have you been playing at the live shows?
Difficult to say, because it seems that we are polarizing, but that's okay. We never wanted to make music that fits to everyones' taste.
You plan on recording in October, correct? Where are you going to record, and do you have a person outside of the band producing, or will it be produced by Deviant Surgeons?
Yeah, that's right, up to now we're in the writing process. 7 of 9 songs are written and 2 songs exist on paper now. I don't know if people will like it, but for myself it's the music I'd like to hear as fan of extreme metal - brutal, fancy and definitely erratic. We'll record in Linz at Kulturzentrum Hof. Concerning producing and releasing, we're in contact with a few smaller and bigger labels who're really interested in our stuff, so we'll see what's happening.
One thing I want to clear up about the music you play is the genre. There seems to be quite a bit going on, a lot of influences, so I want to know from YOU, what kind of music do you play? Death metal? Grindcore? Deathcore? Or do you concider yourselves something entirely different from that area?
I think this is the most asked question about our music. Honestly, I don't know. I can only say that we're 5 guys loving different styles of music and for myself I don't care about genres.
