the longer explanations..

number one: where do these ignorant people get off thinking they know the exact definition of what "punk" is. Everyone has an opinion in their head of what it is. There is no exact meaning to the word. But there are some, who have to consult their frigging "how to be punk rock" handbooks so they can personify what the public thinks punk is. GET OVER YOURSELF.

number two: for all those people who think that just because a band has made it big and are doing well for themselves are "sellouts", YOU ARE A BITTER FUCK. have you ever stopped to think that, just maybe, the band is talented? THATS why they're popular? I'm not saying this applies to ALL bands, but there are quite a few talented popular bands. I am directing this rant towards a few bands in particular: Blink-182, GOod CHarlotte, Sum 41. If you think these bands are sellouts, you are seriously ignorant.

1st, If you actually knew how much hard work Blink put into their success, you would agree with me. and believe me, i know they put in YEARS of hard work. go read their book. then tell me what you think of them. And if their new stuff sounds different from their old stuff, maybe it's because they wanted to experiment with different things, dipshit. and EOTS doesnt friggin sound like a sellout album to me. more polished than their previous stuff, yes. sellots, no.

2nd, Sum 41 is the best Canadian band I'VE heard. have they changed their music style just to make money? no. theu didn't. they play music they enjoy. the end. P.S have you even LISTENED to their new stuff? if that is pop, then POP me up. i love it.

NEXT, Good Charlotte. just because there are some girls screaming "I WANT TO HAVE 100000000 OF YOUR BABIES, BENJI!!" does not mean that this band is a sellout. Its not their fault girls find them attractive. they play the same music they started out playing. they still know where they came from. NEXT.

did they base their careers soely on reaching MTV? no. did they reach MTV? yes. are they happy? yes. wouldnt you be? there are kids who like you. you've helped them get through. i know some of these bands have hlped ME get through. they actually have something important to say. sometimes it isnt important, but its a hell of a lot more meaningful than any of britney sprears' ?pussy shit. (oh yeah, "im not a girl, not yet a woman". who gives a rat's ass?

number three: when people think that just because a person is young (10, 12..) they are posers. ok, don't tell me that when YOU were 8 years old, you liked a band that you now think is rediculous. Or that YOU didnt like the backstreet boys because you thought nick friggin carter was hot. (actually, i can safely say ive never liked the backstreet boys..) and its possible that kids can just enjoy a particular band's music.

number four: people who use the word "punk-pop". punk and pop are opposites. nuff said. go fuck your mother.

number five: people who think they are more educated in the area of "punk rock" than others. Get off your high horse and fuck off.

number six: people who slit their writsts (or PRETEND to..) just for love and attention (even if you already get enuff.. i kno who im talkin bout..) well, you know what i have to say? keep slitting your wrists. you're stupid. you DESERVE to die. stupidity.. if you are severeely depressed, instead of slit your wrists, put your energy into something else.
