The stage in completely dark. A loud wind comes over the speakers. A male voice begins to say "From the first moment life entered her heart, the pulse became the rhythm to a new soul." A heart starts to beat over the speakers and the male voice continues to say, "The rhythm controls us. It tells us what to feel, what to think, what to fantasize. A rhythm that speaks to us of love, falling in love and making love. The rhythm is here!" A flash of lightening is seen followed by a loud thunder and we see several people positioned on the stage standing as still as statues. Lights flash off and on creating a storm of confusion as the male voice continues to say, "Now is the moment when body, mind and spirit, passion, love and desire come together in one rhythm. The rhythm to control. The rhythm to the nation! Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Janet!" The lights stop flashing and Janet, squatting down on the stage lifts her head up and a spotlight is flashed on her. She is wearing a white outfit and a large white hat with a big feather sticking out of the top. Janet is still for 30 seconds, then she sings a little line, and a guitarist starts.
